"Stay away from the roads and stay away from big yellow buses...they are very dangerous... " I'm not sure but I think they understood me

I haven't seen whiskey Jax in a few days I'm not to happy about that I'm prayinghe'ss ok not even on security cameras at night he may have been here last night I have to review it I thought I saw something on the alerts but not sure . But these ladies are still coming by everyday and the fawns spots are nearly all gone they are so tall now its amazing how fast they grow, they are do sweet though they follow me around when momma isn't with them. Lol

Whitetail Deer Fleeing in the Woods

Noticed this deer dead asleep in my yard at 9:00 this morning. I saw it lying under a tree and was afraid it had been hit by a car and had chosen to die there. I went outside and made clapping and whistling noises which didn’t wake it. I walked over to it and that’s when it woke up, but it didn’t move. It lay there and looked at me while I walked away. Totally unfazed by me being so close.

A little later, it got up and started eating grass and wildflowers. It looks super skinny to me, even for a deer possibly done nursing, but I’d like to be wrong. Its tail wasn't full either, pretty scraggly, but it was wagging while it was eating. I wonder what people’s best guesses are on what's going on with this deer based on just appearance alone. Makes me happy it's at least eating. Located: outside Boulder, CO
