Help! Need help convincing a friend to try The Witcher 3
Hey fellow Witchers, I need your help to convert a skeptic.
A friend of mine is looking for an immersive, story-driven game with a unique narrative that actually surprises him. However, he's ruling out The Witcher 3 for two main reasons:
Time constraint: He's a new dad and simply doesn't have the energy for 4–5 hour gaming sessions anymore.
Open-world fatigue: He's afraid it's just another generic, bloated open-world RPG.
I'm convinced the sheer quality of the writing and main quest design makes it a perfect fit for him despite his fears.
Could you give me a 5-bullet-point pitch to convince him it's worth his time?

Witcher This Game Is Amazing
I bought this game on sale for $5 at the heavy request of a friend. I hit 100 hours today and am just halfway through “Final Preparations” with both DLCs plus Songs of the Past once it is released to go. I may have picked the worst time to start it, but I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to give it a chance.

Help! Cannot loot this particular box located at the milfgaardian garrison
Struggling to loot just this particular item. Ive tried different angles, using magic etc. Is there a trick to it? Is this a common issue? Is there a fix? Although its most likely not worth it I would still like to be able to loot it or else i might have to drop the game.

Misc I'd Like To Throw My Hat Into The Ring For Voicing Geralt For Any Mods For The Upcoming Remaster
With mods coming to consoles I would love to be considered for any extra quests or dlc size material. It's a rough demo and I didn't drop my voice as much. Thank you fellow Witchers.

Screenshot My advice for witcher3 obsession - muted game + audiobooks.
I picked up a dathmarch playthrough again, after all this beatiful news to have play H&S and B&W in the remastered edition end of this month.
My head told me that questionmarks do not look good on a map, so i finished it all before picking up Ciri, sailed through Skellige, crafted all mastercrafted gear etc.
My tipp to avoid boredome while sailing skellige an picking up useless loot from smuglers catches: mute the game and start listeing to the audio books. I am half through blood and elfes while playing muted gerald, picking up loot!
I hope to have everything completed on death march before SotP.

Screenshot Just a few more screenshots.
Something I noticed: The boy in the second-to-last photo ran off right after the screenshot to get more worms to fish for. I'm still amazed by that game to this day.

Discussion Advice Leading Into Remaster
I’ve played and replayed the game many times. How are you all approaching the remaster + coming DLC combo?
Current save is NG+ finished both DLCs just hanging around Toussaint with a Euphoria build doing some contracts and playing gwent. Do I just scrap everything and start from the very beginning once the remaster is released? I wouldn’t mind it…

Discussion I am just doing contracts and Side quest. Forgot about Main quest, I have to go novigrad to search Ciri.
Will that affect my story, If i go late in novigrad ?
Its almost 50 hours i have played witcher 3 now and i want to finish my secondary quest and witcher contract first.

Gwent It finally arrived! Limited edition Gwent box from No Loading Games!
I ordered this I believe late last year? They were good with communication and threw in some additional Gwent cards for the delay.

Help! If I spared these monsters, does it mean I don't get to make these potions?
Finished the base game, hearts of stone and nearly at the end of blood and wine. Did pretty much all possible side quests and contracts. And never got to make these 3.

Discussion Did I discover a secret quest?
Im having a conversation with roach lmao. I hope this isn't secret or rarely discovered. Have most people stumbled across this quest? If you haven't played a quest where you actually talk with roach, I encourage you to Google it and do it. It's pretty cool and funny

Discussion Is anyone else also a lot more hyped for the remaster after playing Dawnwalker?
They're from different studios, but some of the same people worked on both. And there's clearly a signature shared between them.

Discussion My Most Fav Portrait
This portrait of Iris and Olgierd - always hangs by my bedside at Corvo Bianco. Iris is so well written and so deeply melancholic that it reminds me of Kikyo from Inu Yasha a lot. Poor lady never found her peace and I just cannot let her endure torment and take the rose away to 'Unpin' her. And whenever I look at their portrait by the candle , my heart aches in pain and remorse. I really like Iris Von Everec.

Discussion Is it just me, or does Triss have way better chemistry with Geralt than Yennefer ?

Misc Welp, here we go.
This is one of the reasons I saved up all that coin! Which did you do first?
