I think just using Claude and Astra won’t lead me anywhere. I actually want to learn how I could work with AI and develop systems that can be taken to production. Also how I could automate workflows using AI agents.

I can do a bunch of things here and there but I amnot sure how are companies actually doing it. I have been developing a massive fear that I might be obsolete and loose my job to someone who can do all of those things with foundational development knowledge.

I got to use Astra yesterday, and it Is finally an ai that can deliver end to end. I had a job that I thought my teammate would need at least a whole day to do Astra did it all using mcp and CLI tools in a few prompts. A single prompt with a goal and it can execute not only the 80% easy part that most llms used to but rest of the 20% that took a lot of time as well , provided the user has a goal in mind. ( Even thinking can be outsourced atp tho lol).

No the output doesn't look like AI slop so even the talk of human touch will be just cope. And if you wanna say ai still needs someone to steer it and debug things, I doubt cause most of us surely ain't smart as these frontier models. Only a goal and it will debug itself. (There might be some people whose human touch and knowledge valuable enough) But for the most part ai has become good enough.

Countries like Nepal , India etc that are seen as cheap labour might face the worst consequences.

I highly suggest people don't fixate on IT only. instead of seeking for jobs and stuff, using your tech skill on a different domain might be extremely powerful. If you can somehow manage , get the chatgpt 200$ sub and see for yourself what I talk about.

I'm a bachelor student in Nepal and I've been working on a project called Codelivly for a while now.

It started as a small blog where I used to post cybersecurity guides and things I was learning. I kept adding stuff to it and eventually decided to turn it into an actual learning platform.

Now it has free career paths, CTFs, hands-on labs, simulations, cybersecurity resources, and a community.

The career paths are focused on things like:

• Junior Penetration Testing
• SOC Analyst

The idea is pretty simple: instead of just reading an article about something, you should be able to learn it and then actually practice it.

I started the whole thing by myself, and we're now a team of 5 working on it.

Not even single nepali governmental sites are working, they are not able to even updates ssl certificate of the site, since one week, these sites are broken, actually I am trying to collect nepali road and infrastructure contractor details, which government infrastructure and roads has been made by which company either any local contractor at what date, they didn't make that data public also, half of the mp is engineer, Oxford graduate and they are not able to do these basic things, if anyone can help me then please, this is ridiculous seeing this educated government, does not have basic data and not a updated tech.

Has anyone here worked on the search and rescue during the floods? I was wondering how good of a technology Airborne Wi-fi / Cell Sniffing is. Especially using ultra wideband positioning or even RSSI. I am working on a personal project to predict locations via wifi signals and while it's not very accurate in my implementation, i wonder if this has been used in search and rescue operations anywhere.

I checked the SSD with smartctl and got:

What concerns me is the 8,144 power cycles and 311 power-on hours.

8,144 cycles over 311 hours works out to about 2.3 minutes per cycle, which seems extremely unusual for normal everyday usage.

Other things I've checked:

• ASUS warranty is active and shows International territory
• ASUS product registration says Already Registered
• Battery design capacity: 75,002 mWh
• Battery full-charge capacity currently: ~72,438 mWh
• Battery report shows 75,002 mWh full-charge capacity from July 30 through August 27, before dropping to ~72.6–72.8 Wh later.
• Windows battery report doesn't show a cycle count.
• Physically the laptop looks essentially pristine; no obvious wear, damaged screws, worn keyboard, etc.

The seller says it's an imported US unit and that the warranty started earlier because of the import.

My question:
Does this SSD data look like a previously used/refurbished laptop, or could the high power-cycle count plausibly come from factory/OEM testing, repeated setup/imaging, diagnostics, or unusual power-management behavior?

I'm especially interested in opinions from people familiar with Micron NVMe SMART data or ASUS/OEM laptop manufacturing.

Would you personally consider this evidence of a used/refurbished machine, or not enough to conclude that?
