Adoption After years of rescuing cats, these are my adoption requirements.
I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

Fundraiser - Yet not verified Please Help Her Walk Again 🐾
The kitten who was attacked by dogs is finally doing better. Her previous foster had to leave Delhi for work, so I shifted her to my friend’s place in Uttam Nagar, where she is currently being fostered along with another cat I rescued from my area about a week ago. From now on, her treatment will continue at Vetic.
Yesterday, I spoke to the doctor at Vetic, and thankfully, she has sensation in her legs. The doctor said there are good chances of her walking again with proper treatment and training.
She is eating well, and from now on, the doctor has prescribed oral medication. We need to consult the doctor every 2–3 days and continue her exercises and mobility training at home.
Her treatment is expensive, and the funds I currently have won’t be enough to cover her ongoing care.
Bills and prescriptions: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1gfqKEMPqkxqooIb8IAFKdBGBf97K1Txa
Upi id: catadoptdelhi@ptaxis
Name: Shivam pal
Please help with her treatment if you can. Even ₹100, ₹200,₹500 can make a difference.
The other cat was rescued after her owner used to keep her tied at the main gate all the time and had never vaccinated or dewormed her. She was suspected to be pregnant, but an ultrasound confirmed she is not pregnant. She has now been dewormed and vaccinated and will need to be spayed at the end of this month which will cost ₹4500.
I’ve attached a Google Drive link with her treatment bills, prescriptions, and the other cat’s vaccination and ultrasound report for complete transparency.
Both cats are currently at the same place, being fostered by the same person, and their food and litter supplies will run out this week. I need to arrange supplies for them urgently, which you can order directly through this Amazon wishlist.

Let’s give them the care they deserve

Discussion Don’t you think this community is a bit harsh?
Okay hear me out, I understand that y’ll are deeply concerned about a cats health and wellbeing but you dont have to be so rude about it do you? (Obv NOT EVERYONE HERE) but recently I saw a post where a girl asked advice for her jain friend who wanted to take care of a cat, and people were downvoting her comments when she asked “ke usme to non veg hota hai?” And giving her rude replies.
This is just one example. Hope I dont get banned from here for saying this but thats just how I feel 🤷🏻♀️
Like many of you (not all) are way too critical on giving opinions, just know that your comment wont change anything for a person who doesn’t have a conscience, to kitna bhi rude comment karlo if there is a stubborn owner- wo kuch change nahi karega and if anything you all are just straight up guilt tripping a person. Ik ik WE are responsible for these tiny creatures (pet or not) but just know that people who are seeking help/advice are most likely in stress already so maybe be a bit more mindful while commenting?
Edit: guys “the jain friend story” was just an example. SIRF uske basis par mene ye post nahi kara hai. There are plenty of people blaming others saying “you are going to kill the cat” as if the owner is not already in a distress. Wo insaan post hi isiliye kar raha hai so that he/she can seek genuine solutions and i am really sorry but your attitude is not helping.

Help New to Reddit, can someone help on how to post fundraisers / donation requests the right way? 🐱
Hello everyone!
I'm a student currently fostering 4, 2 month-old kittens who were abandoned by their mom during heavy rains last month. All kittens had GI issues back to back throughout the entire of last month and I was barely able to afford vet visits and medication. I had wet food boxes that were donated to me for a previous foster who had sadly passed away, so I was giving that to the kittens.
Two weeks back, the smallest kitten, Nova, stopped eating, playing etc, and when I took her to the vet, they did a snap kit, diagnosed it to be FPV, attached a cannula, told me to come in twice a day for fluids for a week.
I was able to somehow close the vet bills with whatever little savings I had, some ever so kind people donating and my friends helping out, lending me money day to day to clear out the bills so treatment wouldn't pause. (Someone had donated from Reddit too, but I couldn't thank them properly because my post got taken down)
Now, Nova is recovering and has started to eat, and is only eating the wet food that I was giving them previously. I was running out of that wet food so I tried to transition them to dry / different wet food, but while the other 3 kittens were able to transition over really well, Nova, after refusing to eat initially, finally ate some of the mixed wet food and proceeded to have really bad loosies and vomiting within 2 hours.
The vet advised against changing food for her anytime soon and to not put any stress on her tummy as it's a huge miracle that she has started eating again after an FPV diagnosis at 2 months of age. I somehow bought one more box with whatever money I had left but will run out of that food tomorrow.
I have no savings left and am desperately trying to get some boxes of that particular wet food donated but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong while posting the fundraiser. Also! I was told I cannot use my FamPay QR code in case someone wants to send funds instead. I haven't got a bank account so I'm not sure how to navigate that too. Regardless, I don't require funds, just want the wet food donated for Nova. I'm sorry if it is some very simple rule and I've missed it. Appreciate any guidance on how to go about it :)
Thank you!

Adoption Mother son duo for adoption (mumbai/pune)
Hi everyone! We had fostered a pregnant cat, and she gave birth to 5 kittens. 4 kittens have already been adopted, and now only the mother and her 7-month-old male son are looking for a loving home.
The mother is spayed, while the male kitten is not neutered yet.
I already have a male cat, and since I live on rent, managing 3 cats is becoming difficult and is also causing problems while finding roommates.
Current location - powai
Female cat age - 1 year 4 months (vaccinated & spayed)
Male kitten - vaccinated
📍 Location: Mumbai & nearby areas
If anyone is interested in adopting them, please email me at khushidama018@gmail.com. Thank you! 🐾❤️

Adoption corporate employee Bento caught doing everything but work at his job (up for adoption)
Corporate employee Bento is looking for a home in Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore/Delhi (can consider pan india if we find a genuine and responsible home with existing pets/pet experience)
Bento is a 6 month old male kitten. He’s litter trained, dewormed, vaccinated and about to be sterilised. He’s extremely friendly, loves to cuddle and sleep on his day job. He’s not worried about who’s paying the bills as long as he gets his daily cat food and some good amount of playing on company time. He’s also famous for lowering the morale of other employees by becoming their afternoon nap partner. He’s very friendly with other cats (and dogs too) and has now managed to make one of the cat employees sleep next to him on the office chair.
Bento is looking for a good and a responsible home to retire. He’s not meant for this 9-5 life and would rather spend his days figuring out how to become a pet influencer for the big bucks.
Adoption formalities are mandatory.
If you can give tired corporate employee Bento a good home, please reach out to us on @_bbpaws on instagram or text 7043782899 on whatsapp (no calls)
