Adoption After years of rescuing cats, these are my adoption requirements.

I recently put together a post explaining my adoption requirements and why I’m so strict when placing my rescue cats.
Some people may disagree with certain rules, and that’s okay. My goal isn’t to make adoption difficult it’s to make sure every cat ends up in a safe, responsible, and permanent home.
I’d be interested to hear what other rescuers and adopters think. What adoption requirements do you consider non-negotiable?

Discussion Don’t you think this community is a bit harsh?

Post image
Upvotes

Okay hear me out, I understand that y’ll are deeply concerned about a cats health and wellbeing but you dont have to be so rude about it do you? (Obv NOT EVERYONE HERE) but recently I saw a post where a girl asked advice for her jain friend who wanted to take care of a cat, and people were downvoting her comments when she asked “ke usme to non veg hota hai?” And giving her rude replies.
This is just one example. Hope I dont get banned from here for saying this but thats just how I feel 🤷🏻‍♀️
Like many of you (not all) are way too critical on giving opinions, just know that your comment wont change anything for a person who doesn’t have a conscience, to kitna bhi rude comment karlo if there is a stubborn owner- wo kuch change nahi karega and if anything you all are just straight up guilt tripping a person. Ik ik WE are responsible for these tiny creatures (pet or not) but just know that people who are seeking help/advice are most likely in stress already so maybe be a bit more mindful while commenting?

Adoption Mother son duo for adoption (mumbai/pune)

Upvotes

Hi everyone! We had fostered a pregnant cat, and she gave birth to 5 kittens. 4 kittens have already been adopted, and now only the mother and her 7-month-old male son are looking for a loving home.

The mother is spayed, while the male kitten is not neutered yet.

I already have a male cat, and since I live on rent, managing 3 cats is becoming difficult and is also causing problems while finding roommates.

Current location - powai

Female cat age - 1 year 4 months (vaccinated & spayed)

Male kitten - vaccinated

📍 Location: Mumbai & nearby areas

If anyone is interested in adopting them, please email me at khushidama018@gmail.com. Thank you! 🐾❤️

Adoption corporate employee Bento caught doing everything but work at his job (up for adoption)

Upvotes

Corporate employee Bento is looking for a home in Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore/Delhi (can consider pan india if we find a genuine and responsible home with existing pets/pet experience)

Bento is a 6 month old male kitten. He’s litter trained, dewormed, vaccinated and about to be sterilised. He’s extremely friendly, loves to cuddle and sleep on his day job. He’s not worried about who’s paying the bills as long as he gets his daily cat food and some good amount of playing on company time. He’s also famous for lowering the morale of other employees by becoming their afternoon nap partner. He’s very friendly with other cats (and dogs too) and has now managed to make one of the cat employees sleep next to him on the office chair.

Bento is looking for a good and a responsible home to retire. He’s not meant for this 9-5 life and would rather spend his days figuring out how to become a pet influencer for the big bucks.

Adoption formalities are mandatory.

If you can give tired corporate employee Bento a good home, please reach out to us on @_bbpaws on instagram or text 7043782899 on whatsapp (no calls)

Help Please help me — I desperately need someone experienced with cats in Gujarat

Thumbnail

I’m posting here because I genuinely don’t know what to do, and I’m hoping someone experienced with cats or rescue work can come forward and help me personally.

I have been caring for a mother cat and her 5 kittens (3 males and 2 females). I got the mother cat spayed and have been trying to manage the kittens, their food, safety, and medical expenses on my own. It has been an exhausting journey, but I’ve been doing my best to keep all of them safe.

The kittens are now around 4.5 months old.

Today I saw two of the kittens humping, and it scared me because I’m worried they may already be sexually mature. I’m especially concerned that one of the female kittens could potentially have mated and may already be pregnant.

My biggest problem is that I don’t have access to a professional vet whom I feel has enough experience with young cats and pregnancy-related spaying. I’m terrified of putting a tiny kitten through surgery with someone who isn’t experienced enough.

I’m also struggling financially and cannot currently afford to have all the kittens spayed/neutered, which makes the situation even more difficult.

I don’t have any spare room or another safe space where I can comfortably keep them apart. I would separate the males and females if I had a suitable space to do so, but with my current limitations, keeping them separately isn’t realistically possible. I’m hoping someone can help me find a safe and practical solution.

So I’m not looking for a list of clinics.

I’m asking if someone in Gujarat who has experience with cats, rescue work, feline surgery, or situations like this can please come forward and help me.

If you are a rescuer, experienced cat foster, animal welfare volunteer, veterinary professional, or simply someone who has dealt with a similar situation and knows what to do, please DM me.

I need someone who can help me understand:

Whether the female could already be pregnant

What I should do immediately

How to manage the 3 males and 2 females safely when keeping them separate isn’t possible right now

Whether there is any temporary solution for managing them in my limited space

Whether someone can help with or guide me regarding affordable spaying/neutering

How/where I can get the girls properly assessed

And most importantly, how to make sure I don’t put them at unnecessary risk

I’m honestly overwhelmed and scared of making the wrong decision. I’m trying to take responsibility for all of them despite struggling with the expenses, limited space, and everything that has happened along the way.

I’m not asking for judgement — I’m asking for someone experienced to please step in and help me navigate this.

If you’re in Gujarat and can genuinely help, please comment or DM me. Even connecting me with someone trustworthy who can personally guide me would mean a lot.

Please share this with Gujarat animal rescuers and cat people. ❤️

🐾 Mimi is looking for her forever home ❤️

Mimi is a sweet, playful and loving little kitten looking for a safe and caring forever home. 🐱🥺

Due to some family circumstances, I’m unfortunately unable to continue taking care of her properly, so I’m looking for a responsible person/family who can give her the love, care and attention she deserves.

💗 Mimi’s details: • Name: Mimi 🐾

• Female kitten

• 4 months old

• 1st vaccination completed 💉

• Deworming done 💊

• Spot-on treatment done 🩷

• Playful, affectionate and full of energy

I’m looking for someone who genuinely loves cats and understands the responsibility of adopting a kitten. Please don’t adopt her unless you’re prepared to provide her with proper food, vaccinations, veterinary care and lots of love.

📍 Location: [sector 43 , DLF phase 5, near Paras hospital, gurgaon]

If you’re genuinely interested in giving Mimi a loving forever home, please DM me.

Please share this with anyone who might be able to adopt her. ❤️🐾

Help Need help for a 3 months kitten

Upvotes

Please help me with whatever information possible to support this 3 months old kitten who recently lost (they are no more) his siblings & his mom has been missing since last few days.

Usually, he used to drink from his mom & had started eating chicken, fish mixed with some rice, pumpkin, potato.

I know i could google but i don't want to rely on ai heavy information & scrolling reels make me confused bc everyone says one thing or other.

Any guidance will be appreciated. Starting with his food to usual routine, training, grooming, vet visits etc. We are based in India. Thank you 🐾
