Hahaha this is so relatable. My labrador will be tossing and tearing at a stuffed toy, and then when it breaks and I pick it up & grab my sewing kit, she will immediatly lay down underneath my desk and be all quiet. Only to resume playing immediately when he's all sowed up.

I've sewn up a lot of toys for my dogs, I even do "squeaker transplants".
I bought a bulk bag of loose squeakers off Temu and now whenever one breaks I cut open the toy, remove the broken squeaker, add a new one and stitch it up again.
