Iirc, those are tracking links. Say you're logged in that social media. The button will see that and associate the content with you so it can show you more relevant personalized ads.

just use an incognito tab or private tab if you are on chrome/firefox respectively. No cookies and even if you do accidentally click you aren't going to be logged into anything.

You have to then choose what you want to do with it, gives you a link and then you have to choose whom you’re sending it to.
So it actually has a fair few steps to it.
