One Piece at least is a series that has momentum that is going somewhere specific and not open ended. It’s nearing the end (it will still be many years before it ends, but big arcs always take long and this is the last one. Questions are being answered and things are starting to converge.)

Unfortunately, a lot of anime exist to just advertise the source material, so once the source material ends, the odds of the anime continuing drop like crazy.
But I will forever be disappointed by the lack of Spider Isekai Season 2.

I caught up at one point where he was helping the main love interest after her grandma died and it was clearly a perfectly fine buildup to any romantic conclusion and he just pussed out.

I think the other thing is that the characters are just very marketable- 4 conventionally attractive girls is just super easy to work with.
Also a reminder his other series, the Shiunji Family Children, ALSO has a serialization (and the premise is as bad as you expect)

I guess if you really want to give it the benefit of the doubt you could interpret it that in the fuckass fantasy victorian era the setting is in, society basically treats/views being queer and incest as equally socially unacceptable which is obviously annoying to the lesbian mc (i believe it's like that in the light novel, although i'd have to read it again to be sure, definitely not very evident in the anime tho)

At least Bocchi the Rock season 2 is real, though given it's been radio silence since being announced 17 months ago we're probably waiting till late 2027/ early 2028 at the very least. The GTA VI of anime, Madoka Magica Walpurgisnacht Rising is finally releasing in August as well. However happy I am with Walpurgisnacht Rising's release, I cannot understand why SHAFT didn't continue with 3-gatsu no lion, it's been 8 years 😭😭😭.

To be fair though, a lot of good series don't even get an anime. Useless Ponko is fucking amazing, is fully finished and would be a hit series if picked up by a good studio. It never will though.
