Probably a year ago there was an English businessman who had bought a seriously big military radar in order to use it in passive mode with a specific software. One of the things that it could be possible to detect, was "non earth made" objects. He made 2-3 threads from the start of the project till the announcement that everything was ready for first use, then nothing! Complete silence. And it's not only this!
