What is this tree? It is in Edinburgh.

I guess i shouldve got a closer shot but this tree is on my property , NY state. There are 5 or 6 trunks , not sure if its considered one tree or seperate. It is over 100 feet tall.

Hey all, I need some help. There is this tree that gives off this wonderfully woody, earthy smell sometimes that floods me with utter nostalgia from my childhood, but I’ve never been able to identify it.

Outside work the other day I smelled it again and I think it was coming from this guy, but I can’t be certain (sorry, my sniffer doesn’t work so great most of the time). Can anyone help me identify this tree and/or confirm if it is known for giving off a particular scent. I really haven’t had much luck even getting anyone else to confirm they can smell the same thing as me when I do smell it.

Tree is in the neighborhood and I would like to add it to my yard. Anyone know the specific tree or can give me good ideas of another shade tree that only gets to about 20-30ft tall

So two different trees here, and no clue what they are. The first looks healthy and awesome. Super fun to sit under and relax, also looks like the local population loves it!

The second one looks a little less healthy but would still like to know what it is if possible.

Found in UK in churchyard. Boughs are taken from two different trees. My guess is the one with spherical cones is a false cypress, but could the other be true cypress? Thank you in advance!

Tag said Japanese crabapple, but doing more research its appearance seems to be more like a prairie crabapple. Here in Virginia zone 7b

Planted about 20 years ago. We want to replace our weeping willow’s, and somewhere down the line our Catalpa’s, with them as our yard trees.

As you can tell, this weeping willow is reaching the end, it will be getting removed this fall, and we will be propagating from it to fill our pastures. Weeping willows are amazing trees, excellent shade and majestic, but constant leaf and branch shedders.

Looks American but I thought those were extinct...

Thought this was a yew but the leaves are confusing me so bad so I guess it isn’t. ID apps say it’s a NZ Broadleaf but I refuse to believe this is a shrub tree It’s clearly thicker than any shrub I’ve ever seen??? Maybe Im not used to them. On a castle ruins/church ground. Obviously as old as the castle which was built in 1820.
