It’s giving me a headache too. I think this guy donated VIP tickets to the kids, then won tickets after that. I’ve never heard of people winning concert tickets from a lottery scratcher so I might be reading this wrong lol

That’s how I interpreted it as well, but the article says that he won tickets from a lottery that gave him 14 VIP tickets. He donated 4 out of the 14 to Make-a-Wish. He didn’t donate the ticket prior to the lottery win.
OP is terrible at writing titles.

In BC they sold scratch and win tickets at some stores for a mystery VIP experience with 13 guests and you. It never said the Eras tour but it was maybe two months or less before the concert there and the colours were the same as her tour colours so it was very obvious.
There were cash prizes I believe as well and some tickets and then the grand prize was 14 VIP tickets with a private catered suite for the concert.
So he bought some scratch and win tickets and won the grand prize. He had 14 spots in his VIP suite and he and 9 family members used 10 and then he donated his other 4 spots to Make a Wish who would have also joined them that night in the VIP suite.

I’m from B.C. It was a special limited edition “Concert of a Lifetime” Scratch & Win card to win a suite at BC Place (didn’t specifically say it was for Taylor Swift, but it was obvious from the marketing and visuals. “The grand prize is a suite in BC Place for the biggest concert of the year taking place in December.”)
“The new BCLC scratch-and-win ticket, which costs $25 apiece, will get 10 people a cash prize of $25,000 each. Of those 10 winners from around the province, "The Lucky One" will be chosen by draw as the winner of the concert suite for an "enchanted" experience of a lifetime. Of course, it's a scratch-and-win, so all sorts of other lower-denomination cash prizes are also possible to win with the tickets.”

I don't really get the taylor swift hate.
To be clear, I'm not a fan - country is the one genre I refuse to listen to and while I'll listen to pop, I'd never listen a pop star among ny favorite musicians.
So she got a head start in the business because her dad was a records executive. I don't like it, but nepotism is extremely common in the the entertainment industry.

Are you a bot? He won a VIP suite to a Taylor swift eras concert. He donated 4 of the suite tickets to Make-a-Wish.
Even if he won lotto money and spent the money on VIP tickets for Make-a-Wish kids, that’s still giving something amazing to the kids…
Children don’t “wish” for a bundle of cash, they “wish” for experiences.

Yeah, just like Epstein “won” the lottery. The lottery is and always has been a poor people tax.
This is more like, donate your suite and get a huge tax write off and we will make sure you get to go in a VIP suite.
It’s all a club and we’re not in it.
