Basic needs come first. Those that are able to step up to help and protest do, but there are also so many that agree with the shit that's happening. It's not as simple as you make it. I can't just call all my fellow Americans and make it happen. Besides the fact that 90% of us can't afford to take any time off of work, or afford to travel anywhere. Seriously tell me how to organize it. Your feelings are VERY valid, I don't blame you one bit for feeling that way. I just don't think a lot of people from other countries realize that the sheer size of the US is a massive hurtle to organizing protests or general strikes. And to be fair, there was lots of talk of a general strike last year, and still talk about it today. Just Google general strike US and you'll find webpages with signups. There are protests every weekend in my town and surrounding areas, there have been massive organized protests throughout the last two years. But getting people to commit to these things in the numbers required, when most can barely afford to buy groceries is a near impossible task.

After Renee Good and Alex Pretti were gunned down there was in incredible amount of pressure that even this piece of shit administration had to buckle. Is it still happening, yes, but the scale has dropped. They tried that shit in LA and ran like the pussies they are.

To be quite frank, those of us living in different countries donāt have the luxury of dealing directly with the āgood Americansā right now. And yes, I know there are millions of them. I have American friends and family who I love deeply and who I know hate this situation as much as anyone.
But when weāre talking about the relationships between nations, the only people that matter are the people in charge of the nation and what they choose to do. Internationally, America is Trump right now. He gets to make the decisions and therefore he speaks for all of you, whether you agree with him or not.
American culture is highly individualistic, so itās normal for Americans to want to say āI didnāt do this. I didnāt vote for him. I am not responsible.ā And on an individual level, thatās true. But the American people arenāt just individuals. You are also a collective, and like it or not, Trump is the voice of your collective. And this national shame is a shame you must wear collectively. The international community doesnāt get to choose which part of the collective represents you, and therefore the American collective doesnāt get to distance itself from the consequences of its choice.
The stink of this administration will linger on your national clothing for many years to come. Generations worth of carefully cultivated trust will need to be rebuilt from scratch. Much of your soft power will simply never return. And the international community will operate in the knowledge that you are never more than four years away from spiralling into insanity and thrusting instability upon the world.
So yes, we know there are good Americans. But to be even more blunt, if you donāt hold power, you donāt matter. The sooner the American people realize that they canāt exempt themselves from this shame, the better.
