yesterday i was on a call in my room and i was having a fight with my boyfriend. i was crying and saying things like “believe me”, “please don’t leave me like that” and “i only need you”. and there i didn’t know my mom had come home from work, since I was so emotionally invested in the convo I didn't realise she'll be back at home by 6pm and since I was the only one in the house she can literally hear what I was talking.
apparently she had been listening from outside and recorded the whole conversation without me knowing. when i finally came out of my room, she told me that she had recorded everything and that she sent it to my relatives because i was “pleading” to a guy.
i actually saw that she sent it, and one of my relatives has seen the recording too. since then, my mom keeps repeating the things i said on the call and making fun of me for being so emotional. she also keeps saying that she doesn't want my boyfriend to ever become her son-in-law and that if i ever marry him, she won't support me.
i'm honestly extremely disturbed and embarrassed. i know i was emotional and said things i probably wouldn't want anyone else to hear, but i never expected my own mother to record a private conversation and send it to relatives to shame me.
i feel so humiliated, and i don't know how to deal with my mom constantly bringing it up.
