I feel like everytime I see a post outside shipping communities from the general fandom (mainly here on reddit) there is this consensus that suselle's relationship is just inherently doomed to fail or become toxic. I really, really don't understand this narrative and to me it honestly just feels like people say this because they want to see it fail. Why is it that their relationship has to constantly be over analyzed and come to a conclusion where it either ends miserably, or is revealed (somehow) neither of them actually like one another like they say they do. Maybe I'm just not used to how fandom spaces engage with media on reddit*, but it feels like everyone in major subs really dislikes the possibility of suselle concluding in an actual healthy relationship. I don't know, maybe I am overthinking it, but does anyone else see this too? This very doomer approach to suselle, acting as if the end goal is for something horrible to happen to them both? Like, I don't expect everything to be sunshine and rainbows but I really don't understand this attitude the fandom has surrounding suselle :/ One minute it's "this has no substance, it's too boring," and the next it's "well they're clearly doomed to fail anyway." I just don't get it -- am i the only one hoping for some wholesome lesbian relationship representation?!! Obviously people can have their own opinions, but it's just a pattern i noticed, so I wanted to start a discussion to see if anyone else understands what I mean.

*I'm used to people just kind of enjoying shipping, I feel like reddit has a weird attitude surrounding shipping culture that I just don't understand.

again at the end of the day people are both entitled to their opinions and have every reason to expect the furure chapters to come with angst... but I feel like this fandom (again, especially on here) is sooo antagonistic and against suselle as a concept:/

Idk but the idea of Susie viewing Noelle/dating Noelle as one of her "responsibilities" I can't help but melt from how adorable it is
