Here is Kitty, I got her when she was 4 months old. She has been with me through multiple life changes. She is 10 years old now and my soul kitty. She is the most affectionate cat just wants to cuddle and be around the family. She loves my kids even when they were babies. I love this breed but she does have digestive issues has to be on special food and if her litter box is not up to her standards she will pee and poop elsewhere. Still the perfect kitty in my eyes, I truly admire this breed.

At the end of November we'll bring home a 3 months old sphynx cat, and I have a few questions about the hygiene routins.
I know that they need regular bathing, ear and paw cleaning. How often should I do these, and how can I get him used to it, so that he doesn't get stressed out, and doesn't want to escape the situation?
I also heard that nail clipping is advised to avoid hurting himself. My questions here are the same.
Bonus: Meet Edy the little cutie patootie. He's one month old now.

Hello, my sphynx (5 yrs old) has always had bad teeth. My vet said it's nothing to worry about. I regularly clean her teeth with enzymatic toothpaste but it doesnāt change. Should I be concerned or is it normal?
Thank you for your help <3

When I got her (a month ago), she was really sick. I wasnāt told that she was sick. Iāve never had a cat before so I didnāt know what was normal for a kitten. I did a lot of research after I got her. She had a lot of congestion, mucus, & trouble breathing. Appeared to be a URI. She was breathing out of her mouth & coughing/sneezing a lot. After a trip to the emergency room & a couple of different meds later, sheās feeling better! Iād say sheās pretty much 100% now. :-) Iām thankful for this little naked ball of cuteness. Side note, cats are wonderful for anxiety.

I need advice / recommendations because the litter tracking is driving me crazy. It's EVERYWHERE.
I need any and all help I can get! Mats, ramps, enclosures, litter types - whatever has helped you, I would love to hear it because I am truly at my wits end!

This is my 8 year old and my 4 year old giving each other kisses and snuggling, figured this would be the place to appreciate it!

Hello everyone! I recently welcomed home an 8-month-old female Sphynx, and Iām trying to make sure Iām doing everything I can to establish a good baseline for her health. Unfortunately, the breeder lied about having ever taking her to the vet/is suddenly not being willing to provide me with any medical records, previous testing results, vaccine documentation, or information about what health screening her parents received. After seeing the conditions she was left in (poor little one was shaking, timid, completely scratched up, and left outdoors alone 24/7), I couldnāt leave her there to continue getting beat up by other animals and the elements.
I completely understand how it looks like I didnāt do my research however, after seeing her in the state she was in, I couldnāt leave her there in good conscience. If I could go back, I 100% would have verified she wasnāt lying about documentation beforehand, however, at this point sheās here and I love her, so my main priority is making sure Iām proactive about her health going forward!
I was told she did at least have her first set of shots, but because of the lack of documentation being willing to be provided to me, would you guys suggest that I restart her whole vaccine sequence? I have her vet appointment scheduled for this Tuesday and I am going to meet with a veterinary cardiologist following her appointment.
I have been very gentle with her skin + cleaning of it and most of her scratches/scabs are now healed or scarred over. She still has a few drier patches on her ears and head (im assuming sunburn), I was wondering if anyone had a good product they would recommend? I dont want to overstrip her sensitive skin.
She also despises the nail covers the lady had on her but I am worried to hurt her by trying to take them off so I have been letting them fall off naturally over the last few weeks. I still clean her feetsies and toes daily but I dont want to yank the nails off if it makes sense?
I understand that the situation is not ideal which is why I was just looking for some polite guidance or suggestions on anything additional I should have the little one tested for or checked out. I understand that I should not have trusted this breeder however, after seeing the conditions the cat was left in, I couldnāt leave her to continue suffering. if anyone has any tidbits or suggestions on what I should have the vet check her for (outside of bloodwork panels and HCM screening), I would really appreciate it! Thank you kindlyš©·
