Out of the three balls I’ve owned, Hachi here just gets it. She loves to come out of her tank and she will wrap up around me tight as hell and just observe whatever I may be doing for the day. She started off so spicy too, the only snake I’ve ever been bitten by, and now she’s my best buddy. Still wouldn’t use her as a good snake for someone new trying to get over a fear, that job is for my BEL male Kaiba who is just the most docile idiot I’ve ever met but more of a wiggle worm

Of the 5-6 copperheads I’ve seen here in Alabama, I’d never seen one with such a pink tint before today! The photo really doesn’t do it justice. Just an absolutely extraordinary color!

He is losing some weight from being fat af, he got transferred from his PVC to a very large storage bin set-up recently to monitor his activity a little better, looking better than ever tbh

So I am apartment sitting for a friend and their family and they have a little ball python, and a little dog smaller then my fore arm I was to watch for them for 2 of the four days (Started on Friday) I would change the water and send a picture of in there in closure once a day but the third night I couldn’t stay over so I walked their dog for like over 30 min its a little one so it should be tuckered out, and checked on the snake. the next morning I came in and the inclosure was opened and some stuff fell on the floor. My friends room and really tidy but they have a a lot of knick knacks on their shelves that are up high but non of them have been misplaced besides what’s next to the in closure. The snake has their next feed tomorrow ( Tuesday). I feel horrible I called them as soon as I saw the door opened and after I checked the in closure. I need help!

First of all, sorry for the low quality pics, he only likes coming out at night and i didnt wanna turn the big lights on. Hes a 1 year old BI and currently eating a large mouse every 12 days, soon to be moved up to a weaned rat. I just wanna make sure he looks ok cuz hrs my first snake and i havent been able to find much on proper BI body condition other than they should look like a loaf of bread.

A young rhinoceros ratsnake (Gonyosoma boulengeri) from a group I've been raising up for about a year. It's been a tedious process to get them feeding on rodents (or even feeding at all for some individuals), but I finally have seven out of ten taking drop fed pinkies/fuzzies.

My little rosy boa is turning a year old in a couple weeks. She's been eating 2 fuzzies every other week pretty consistently. In the beginning of August she hid in her cave on the cool side to shed. She was in there for about 3 weeks until she finally shed (her shed comes off all in one piece every time, she's never had an issue with it). Then she came out of her cave and hung out in a spot on her cool side that she likes. I left her alone for a couple days then took her out to feed her in her feeding tub. She refused to eat and was a bit on edge (pretty tensed up and staying pretty still). For about another week she stayed in that same spot and didn't move much other than to drink some water, which is unusual for her (she's typically very active, always climbing around her tank, enjoys being handled). Just this last week she's come out and started being active again like she usually is. I've tried to feed her twice since then, and though she's acting normal again, she's still not eating. It's been 6 weeks now since her last meal.

I can't figure out why she won't eat. There haven't been any changes, her tank has stayed at its regular temperatures (75-80 on the cool side, 85-90 on the warm side with temps at the high end of their normal range). Her tank is due for another full cleaning so I'm planning that for this weekend, but I do spot clean in between of course. She's a desert native so she doesn't need a whole lot of humidity (her sheds have never had any problems). I buy the same brand of fuzzy mice every time for her (even tried a new pack just in case she just didn't like the pack that I already had).

I have a vet appointment for her this Friday to make sure she's okay, but any advice on why she won't eat and how I can get her to eat again would be appreciated!!

New to kingsnakes. 2 month old california kingsnake, 3ft 50-gal wood enclosure. also does destroying her tunnels looking for poop make me a bad parent? On warm side it’s 85-90 during the day and 75-80 at night. humidity fluctuates 30-40 during the day and 40-50 at night. she’s eating live pinky mice fine. thankyou

I’d like to provide a humid hide for my baby cali king. My biggest fear with all my snakes is scale rot. Is there a proper way to do this without the risk of scale rot? Thankyou

I’ve had my snake about 6 years. He’s a MBK and has never had bad shed until recently. His last good shed was in March. At this time I had upgraded him to a larger enclosure and he moved from Arizona back to Colorado. I have 3 humidity gauges in the tank, one on the cool side one in the middle and one on the hot side. They all three read between 39-49 % humidity. I have tried switching his substrate to soil to boost humidity, and that did not help. I then switched him back to aspen as he would not burrow in the soil. I now have two humidity hides in his thank one on the warm side ( a rock hide with moss and coconut chips), and a sky hide on the cool side that I keep moist moss in. I have added foil tape to the screen top to help keep in humidity, and have added a humidifier to the room. As he is a desert snake he should need between 30-50% humidity and his humidity in the tank is always in that range. I make sure to change his water every 1-2 days and re-mist the humidity hides. I also have some moss patches around the enclose that I spray every now and again. It seems nothing is working and I still have to put him in water to help shed. I do see him drinking often so I don’t think it’s internal dehydration, but it could be. If anyone has any advice.
