If Schrodinger's cat was high on catnip, would the altered/expanded consciousness and divergent thinking allow the cat's observations to collapse the wave function?
Why did the cat being in the box not collapse the super position, as a cat would be considered an observer?

The cat is now both high and sober at the same time. Congrats!

So maybe it can collapse the wave function to sober during drug tests, and then to high during all other times

Whaddya mean, “if”? The cat was a fucking kingpin in the catnip trade and if it hadn’t been for Shroddy covering up for him he’d have been tried, convicted, and sentenced and done some serious time in SuperMax.

Isn’t that what the box is?

You’re thinking of the litter box. Easy mistake to make when the only real difference is the taste.

You mention the cat being an observer. If the cat is allowed to be an observer, then this whole thought experiment gets jumbled up a little bit.
Because it would go as follows. If the cat is alive, the cat knows it's alive, therefore it's known, and the cat's simply alive.
If the cat is dead, the cat doesn't know it's dead, therefore nobody knows whether the cat is dead or alive. So the cat is both dead and alive.
So from this development, we have two possibilities: either the cat is alive, and Mr. Schrödinger should let it go and play outside, or the cat is dead.
If the cat is dead, then it is both dead and alive. And if it's dead and alive, then it's dead and alive and alive. And if it's dead and alive and alive, it's dead and alive and alive and alive. And if it's dead and alive and alive and alive, then it's dead and alive and alive and alive and alive....

If the cat could emit enough photons to interact with all the box's fundamental particles and receive back a reflection indicating every particle's position, then absolutely!

How does one emit photons? You can just do that?

I guess the altered expanded consciousness from the drugs? If the cat can observe to the point that wave functions collapse, it must be via photons, maybe mental telepathy or something coming straight out of its high brain? Then again, any heat that escapes a cat is photons I guess.

Only in a quark environment. Or not.
