Hey folks, how do you manage to clean Shih Tzu tears? My 7 month old pup gets very aggressive when I try.

We had to put down Sparky tonight and I don't know how I'm going to go on. 15 years with him and just like that hes gone. He was fine Friday to being really bad today and having to make the touch decisions. I honestly don't know what to do without him. He was my everything 😭

My baby woke up not feeling good. She used the bathroom normally but came in and she vomited a wee bit of white foam then wouldn't eat or drink and I have no idea why. I gave her a little bone broth with a syringe. She didn't get into anything that i know of. I'll keep an eye on her and take in to the vet if necessary. Ugh, I wish they could talk 😔

Update - I gave Luna some water via syringe and she threw it all up. She has a vet appointment at 3pm.

Update 2 - Blood work is fine, no blockages, thankfully.

He gave her some antibiotics and something to stop her from puking.

We are home now with meds, I'm sure she will be fine.

We have a 12 week old tzu he’s our first tzu. We also have a black lab. We have had cavaliers and Lhasa apso before., We are surprised to see a super active high energy little boy who chases the cats (work in progress 😰). He’s affectionate and loving but didn’t accept his crate so we bought a puppy pen and he loathes it! He’s growing fast and loves to play and potty training is pretty good 🤞 I take him outside every hour. Nights he’s a good boy he sleeps in kitchen with our Labrador. He does fixate on me though over my husband and screams when I go out of sight. He is a very vocal dog unlike all my others. He also does excitement wees when ppl arrive or he sees us if we’ve been away. I’d love to hear stories of your babies and if/when things changed and your household returned to factory settings (never I know!)

Celebrating my Prince’s 6th birthday! 🎉

I posted this sweet little one about a month ago right after I rescued her. Now that she's gained some weight she looks so much better. I'm curious if she's a Shihtzu though. I love her regardless but am just curious what y'all think. I've had a few people saynher front legs are too long to be a shihtzu and they've also commented on how her elbows bow out.

The 1st pics are from when I first got her and the last ones (standing on the rug) are now. What do you think?

Stewie is 4 years old! In the last 9 months our pack shrank from 4 to 2. He and I have gotten so close after our loss. We’re leaning on each other. It’s really nice, he’s a great companion. ❤️ Hope everyone out there is happy and healthy today ☮️

Today is one year since we brought home our rescue Shihtz, Tam and Viv! They’ve gotten better with car rides, have been to doggie daycare, are expert campers, and have just blossomed into being pets instead of money making animals. Still a little timid at times, but these two have really grown in the year with us. We’re so lucky to be their humans 😍

His hair is usually in a top knot, as soon as the elastic comes out he turns into Chris Gaines.

He truly despises pictures so I had to sneak it but here he is! Hiw favorite sleeping position is glued to me on his back with a blanket covering his top half? Not the bottom. Hes a rescue from a puppmill and I got him when he was 5 and he is 6 now fuck puppmills. Hes got some serious mental health problems and when I got him he was on zoloft and kolodpin.... he's off of it now but still trusts no one but my husband and I. When he hears people talking loud he runs and hides so we talk softly around him. He wouldn't come out of his kennel for the first 2 months it seemed and wasn't potty trained but he learned super fast. He now knows how to sit stay and lay down because he's a good boy. He does not bark, they say he probably got it beat out of him. He does howl though when we leave, I got a pet camera.

Yesterday while coming back from our walk (my Shih Tzu and I). We were standing in front of our apartment and a woman screamed “grab your dog”. Running toward us was a loose pit mix.

I scooped up my dog and held her close. The dog threw me against the wall and bit me on the wrist hanging there. Then he went to the other elbow and bit that . That elbow has a metal bone so I was terrified it would break. I was screaming at the top of my lungs for help, in the hallway of my apartment. No one opened their door. One neighbor coming home with groceries wheeled his cart through the blood and said not a word.

Finally the owner reached us, pulled the dog off me. Blood was everywhere. The walls, floors. By then a Hispanic couple the only ones to help, ran out with ice and tourniquets and stayed until the ambulance.

My dog is ok. She was covered in blood but luckily it was mine. I was so thankful to God that my girl was ok. But the other dog is still down the hall. My dog was staying at a friend’s last night but tomorrow she comes home. The other dog is a guest of someone and doesn’t belong here.

Tomorrow when my dog returns I am terrified we will run into the other dog. The owner said they would walk at different times,but still as the dog is her daughter’s who doesn’t live here. I want it gone.

My dog lost an eye a few months ago due to an infection and was just getting comfortable again, I am so worried how she will be.

I tried to make a report by phone but they want me to come in and I can’t drive yet. I just want the dog back with its owner. This girl’s mother is a senior and can’t control it.

UPDATE: incident reported. Not sure they will pick up dog. They will check and see if first incident, if so they won’t pick it up. Insane..
