I bought this scrapbook from Michaels years ago and am having trouble finding something similar. I’ve finally almost filled this one and have found style book works well for me — but my search for scrapbooks at Michaels is only turning up photo albums. Any recommendations?

I am new to scrapbooking and the biggest barrier for me is how to get any text on my pages. Initially I wrote but that was terrible, then tried stickers which were ok but difficult to get straight. So I thought of stamps, but I find it annoying how many letters I need to even make a sentence and the outcome is not always ideal. I could print text on sheet but then it doesn’t always flow with the design because of the opaque paper.

My question is what is the best way to have a neatly written, or transferred text onto my page? Initially I thought of getting a circut but I am unsure I need something like that just to add text and it seems like a bit of a learning curve. Ideally it would be a quick(ish) process to print/transfer the text.

Hi, I picked up an unused vintage scrapbook on marketplace. Does anyone have any tips or ideas? Im looking to make a scrapbook anniversary album. It looks like the pages won't be covered, and I'm not sure if there is any specific adhesive that might be better for these pages.

In the early 2000's, I attended a "Tot-to-Teen Album" class hosted by a Creative Memories rep. I'd love to get those instructions and supply list, so I can make another one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

In this process video I created a Christmas scrapbook layout featuring the boys enjoying s’mores around the campfire at the North Pole. These nighttime photos were pretty dark, so I used the bright colors and plaid papers from the Doodlebug Tinsel Time collection to help them stand out.

Started school again and have had no time 😔

Came across this IG video (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DckOxfGu-bC/?igsi=MWhuOXUyN29xNnM5bg==) and it just reminded me SO much of what scrapbooking culture was like in the early 2000’s. It was such a blast getting to go to my local shop called “Scrapbooks & Stuff.” I’d spend hours there every summer, crafting alongside grandmas, teachers, aunts, and moms.

There was a craft room in there too that had a giant die cut machine for all to use, vending machines with all the snack essentials, long tables with ample room for all your supplies, and various women of all ages (I was about 10-12 yo lol) coming together to craft on a Saturday afternoon. I’d always admire the veteran crafters who seemed to just float around the room and the shop with their rolling craft bags and kitschy designs. It was just a fabulous time. I know with the digital age it’s been so nice to see so many people my age exploring the craft, but I miss the community aspect of it all. The warm and cozy silence of the craft room, kind commentary by others walking by, and gentle guidance (especially when powder embossing at 10 yo w the heat tool).

After having so much nostalgia about it all, I thought I’d post as I’d love to hear your stories as well!

So my girlfriend's birthday is coming up next month and I wanted the gift to be special and memorable. I thought to add our fav moments, memories, chat screenshots, Polaroids, etc etc in the book.. but idk how to start it. Or where to start it. I wanted it to be neat and special rather than a clumsy, Pinterest vibe. Can anyone give me tips that I can use to make it ? Anything is appreciated

Hi! I thought this thread might be the most helpful for what I’m looking for. I have 104 film photos and 2 printed speeches I’d like to combine into an album for my friend. I could probably leave 4 out to make it a nice 100. I originally purchased a scrapbook, but it is an odd size and doesn’t fit my photos without me cutting all of them. I’ve been looking into photo album, but I haven’t seen any that I could add my own inserts or customize it to have scrapbook like inserts at the end to include the speeches. Any ideas or recommendations of where I could customize an album like this or how to create my own?

Hi! I’m looking for a free app for scrapbooking that does not make you sign up for subscriptions by month/week. I liked the Paper app but can’t justify another subscription. Is there anything like that out there or are they all pay to use ?

In this process video I am documenting the very first scrapbook layout for my 2026 Disneyland trip, featuring photos from my visits to Mickey and Minnie in their homes. I'm using the Simple Stories Say Cheese Happiest Place collection to create this double-page Disneyland scrapbook layout.

Honestly I will use it all. It should last me for years 🤣 The only thing I may use less are the wax seal stamps. I fell in love with those. I’ve never crafted before so that’s why I spent a lot. I bought everything I need so I’m all set. My journal is A5 so it’s not like I’m going to use all my crafts quickly.

So did I overdid it? I don’t feel like it. In quite satisfied and can’t wait to start. How much have you spend the most on crafts for your journals?

In this process video, I’m documenting Day 3 of my nieces’ Disney vacation with two single-page scrapbook layouts. We had pictures taken in front of the Chinese Theater and the Tower of Terror, plus some fun Disney Magic Shots featuring Tinker Bell, Donald Duck, and the balloon Magic Shot! I’m using Kelly Bell Designs’ Hollywood Studios Magic Bundle to create these Hollywood Studios scrapbook pages.
