[OC] I create printable season trackers for each team, here's yours!
Hello! I'm a visiting Habs fan with printable season trackers for you.
A better resolution is available on Imgur (too big for Reddit): https://imgur.com/a/sabres-season-tracker-2026-2027-PHSUuEj
I created 2 versions. The first one groups games by opponent, and the second shows games in chronological order. Each square includes the date and game number. Grey squares are home games.
I use 3 colors for mine (see 3rd image): green for wins, red for regulation losses, and orange for OT/SO losses. Feel free to print whichever version you prefer and fill it out however you like!

It’s a shame how little you play your own division now a days.

Yet they put so much emphasis on the division come playoffs. Honestly divisions are meaningless with only playing 1 more game than the rest of the conference. Just seed 1-8 and be done with it.

I say just seed 1-16, the Western conference is so weak it’d allow teams who normally miss who deserve it in the east to make the dance

Yeah but the possibility of being too many east coast vs west coast match ups early would be tough on travel. Like what if Buffalo played Edmonton Round 1 and then San Jose Round 2. Yikes!

Not a fan of 1-16. Conference strength changes over time and is quite often balanced.
What I would potentially propose for egregiously off-balanced seasons (determined by some seed strength threshold) is that the weaker conference essentially just loses part of its 1-8 bracket (becomes 1-6 or 1-4) to the other conference.
Basically just preserving intra-conference matchups for as long as possible.

Love the visual.
I really wish we'd go back to 4 team divisions - just for scheduling purposes, no real playoff implications - then play all teams 2x and distribute the rest of the games to division matchups.
I'd also reseed divisions every season such that 1-16 of each conference's final standings are distributed across the new divisions.
