She gave me a reference picture and asked me to make something similar. I looked at the reference, but normally I create my artwork in my own style rather than copying a reference exactly, so maybe that’s why you didn’t like it as much.

Actually, I just want to know honestly, how do you feel about my work?

Looks great to me. I do not understand why a customer would not want this - unless they wanted more consistency in the coloring used. And, if that was the case, it seems like it would be an easy enough fix for you to handle. I guess that is why many request payment upfront (of half payment upfront) for custom orders. I am sorry your customer did not take it.
