My mom got into Pokémon Go after I started playing in 2016. I slowly stopped playing, but still go through phases where I play for a few weeks or so.

She never stopped playing. Anytime I go through a pogo phase and stop by an instinct gym in my hometown, rest assured, she has a Pokémon in there. She really likes this game and is currently level 60.

Today, I was looking over at her phone to see some of her Pokémon, and saw that she only had 400 maximum Pokémon she could store. I asked her to go to the store and saw over 39k coins just sitting there!!!

She never wanted to buy anything with coins. Never even thought about it. She’s a penny pincher irl too, no way she would spend real currency on this game.

She’s just been taking over gym after gym, for 10 years, for nothing other than the love of the game.

Hell yeah.

After getting only 21 coins today trying to hold it, I'm just giving up on it. I ain't entering a gym and spending 50 revives to hit my daily coin cap

I was going around town putting my Pokémon in different gyms. She had been in that gym for 2 or 3 days. She pulled up beside and screamed at me for kicking her out of the gym. Is this normal? Why would someone get upset that I kicked them out when they’ve been there multiple days. Sure I was putting my Pokémon in gyms around town but does that really matter?

i actually think that most backgrounds are quite hideous and made with low effort so when i joined reddit i was really surprised by how much demand there is for pokemon with special backgrounds because i couldnt care less, but to each their own

Quite happy with this auto catcher they’ve added, so far it’s caught me 3 shinies. It’s come in handy because before I used to catch things on my way to work but now I have to take my girl to nursery and I can’t do it while pushing a pram.

I recently moved into a new apartment complex and was exited to see that from anywhere in my apartment I could reach a pokestop and a gym. When I looked at the gym I realized that someone I had added after a raid during go fest '25 was in it. I knocked it out and over the next few days they kept knocking my pokemon out so I assume they're one of my neighbors even though I've never met them and have no idea who they are. I always leave pokemon in gyms until they all hit 8 hours and 20 minutes though because that's the amount of time it takes to earn 50 coins and I don't want to be the reason someone can't get those coins. After me living here for about a month I can only assume something snapped because every time I put a pokemon into the gym, he started knocking them out almost immediately. The first day they knocked out 13 pokemon in the span of 4 hours and I've had them knock me out at late as 2am and as early as 6am and all throughout the day. I tried feeding the mons golden razzs between battles but eventually they would be full and he kept attacking. What makes it even more frustrating is that he always leaves my roommate's pokemon in the gym but as soon as he sees me he knocks us both out. Sometimes he won't even put a pokemon in the gym after knocking me out so I know he isn't working on his defend gyms platinum medal. It's now been about 3 months and today he knocked me out after only 40 minutes. I tried messaging him on Campfire as he is in the same local group as me to make peace or explain how gyms work but no response. I've asked a few people at meet ups about him too but have only met two people who have met him before but they don't know him and I feel like I've run out of options. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Is Cosmoem a lot more rare than a shiny legendary? Should I decline this trade? Just looking for opinions, I know there’s no real right or wrong answer haha. Thanks!

Woke up early on Sunday and went to the pier with one goal and it was to get as many shinies as possible. I was there for around 12 hours , didn't waste time on normal catches outside of my go plus, and utilized a ton of incense and Palkia spacial rend adventure effect. I was blessed with wild shiny luck and yes I did buy the deluxe pass.
