As per title.

This sem there’s 6x graded quizzes (10 MCQ per quiz) after each relevant lecture which makes up 60% of your final grade.

The other 40% is class attendance and participation.

Thing is, I screwed up the second graded quiz today and am only getting 9/10 for Quiz 2.

Even if I assume I max the remaining quizzes and the class attendance/ part, are my chances of getting A+ gone?

Am I getting a B now??? C?? 😭😭😭 I’m worried about the bell curve fuck.

Ok, hopefully. Cuz I asked one of the lecturers before, who teaches this gateway mod and he said that I had to get an A if I wanted the FSC restricted second major.

So idk. I wouldn’t be worried if the quizzes were hard but if the questions are easy, the median is probably gonna be high..?

59/60 is not a B there is literally no way. even A- is a stretch, some people may click an option wrongly or something, like half of the people are gonna do that. maybe not A+, but maybe A.

Sometimes you’ll just fuck up and lose your A. Happened to me plenty of times. And if you can’t SU it, then well, that’s that. You can’t un spill the milk, what’s done is done and the only thing you can do is get over it.

But it sounds like you’ve got quite a few quizzes left. You’re assuming that everyone else is going to do perfectly for those, but that’s probably not going to happen. Some of them are likely also going to screw up. The fact that you got 9/10 for one of those quizzes show that you know what you’re studying.

Keep up the work and do your best.

And trust me, it’s quite hard to get a C+ unless you really are blur sotong, and you got 9/10 for a quiz bro.

I’m just worried about the bell curve because if the median is 10/10 for all 6 quizzes then isn’t getting an A basically 10/10?? If the curve is compressed at the top.

But ofc like u said, idk the median/ how well others did, but NUS is full of academic monsters, man. The students are already compressed at the top 💀

Like. Getting an A is kinda the bare minimum/ one of the requirements to apply and get the restricted second major.

Sigh. I was aiming 10/10 for all 6 quizzes till that second quiz and now I’m worried the A is gone.
