On July 24, 1971, 26-year-old Simonetta Ferrero walked into the Catholic University of Milan and vanished without a trace.

Her body was found two days later in a university restroom. She had been stabbed 33 times. Skin and blood were found under her fingernails, suggesting she fought back. The evidence was there, but in 1971 investigators didn't have DNA profiling to test the skin and determine who it came from.

Police questioned hundreds of people, including university staff and personal acquaintances. They chased down every lead, exploring potential political motives, workplace connections, and even the possibility of a serial killer.

Over 50 years later, not a single theory has led to an arrest, and her killer remains unknown.

On September 16, 1994, something very strange happened at a small school in Zimbabwe.

During morning break, 62 children at Ariel School said they saw unusual objects near the edge of the school grounds. Some also described small figures with large, dark eyes.

There were no adult witnesses. But afterward, the children drew what they remembered and were interviewed about what they had seen.

No photograph was taken. No object was recovered. There’s no physical evidence proving that anything extraterrestrial was there.

But that’s what makes this case so strange to me.

If nothing happened, how did dozens of children come away from the same morning claiming they had witnessed something so unusual?

Were they all mistaken? Did they influence each other?

Or did those children really see something that day?

By 1997, the Buddhist teacher Michael Roach had amassed a following, the vast majority of whom were young women willing to treat him as a god. His teachings were compiled in a pamphlet containing 147 vows that his followers were required to recite six times a day for two years. Among the group's members was the young millionaire Ian Thorson.

Within the group, Michael Roach had intimate relationships with women, dressed in drag at the parties he hosted, drank alcohol, and had even married a young devotee named Christie McNally. Michael justified the marriage by claiming that she was not just an ordinary woman, but the incarnation of a powerful goddess.

By February 2012, Christie had divorced Roach and married Ian Thorson. The new couple organized a three-year spiritual retreat with Michael's blessing, but the situation became untenable under Christie's leadership, and soon after, she and her new husband were expelled from the retreat. Ian and Christie didn't want to abruptly end the three-year retreat, so they decided to camp in a cave near the retreat complex, located in a desert area of ​​Arizona. There they endured freezing temperatures, and when the ice melted, they didn't hesitate to drink the water.

On April 22, 2012, Arizona authorities received a call reporting an incident at the cult complex. When they arrived at the nearby cave, they found Christie attempting to use her supposed goddess powers to resurrect Ian. The police investigation ultimately revealed that Ian and Christie had drunk water contaminated with bacteria, and tragically, Ian died. No charges were filed against Christie, and Geshe Michael Roach continues his career as a spiritual teacher.

For centuries, the Trojan War was known through Homer’s Iliad: a massive Greek army, the city of Troy, Achilles, Hector, and the famous wooden horse.

But in the 19th century, archaeologists uncovered the ruins of an ancient city at Hisarlik, in modern-day Turkey, widely identified with Troy.

Several layers of the city show signs of destruction, and some date to roughly the period when a historical Trojan War may have occurred.

But there’s a problem.
Archaeology can show that Troy existed and suffered destruction. It cannot prove that Achilles fought Hector, that Helen caused a war, or that Greek soldiers entered the city inside a wooden horse.

So perhaps the Trojan War was neither pure history nor pure myth, but a real conflict transformed by centuries of storytelling.

Update for the great exposure. I've been let down by Essex police again! Due to a lack of evidence regarding the events mentioned in previous posts, they will no longer be investigating... Which is ironic really, as the investigation would uncover the evidence needed. Would only take for them to seize devices/raid homes etc. They asked if I have medical records of toxins. No... I don't... Because the medical 'professionals' have let me down as much as the police have. In regards to documentation, it is apparently considered a civil dispute that would require a solicitor... Which I cannot afford, due to being out of work with health issues caused by these events!

A completely devastated woman, with a very high fever and practically at the end of her strength, was trying to resuscitate her husband.

But that scene was only the end of a story that had begun many years earlier, when young Ian Thorson, who was searching for spiritual answers, met a Buddhist master who would end up exerting a huge influence on his life.

Eight handwriting experts said the ransom notes matched Hauptmann’s writing. Investigators also found John Condon’s address and phone number written on a door frame in Hauptmann’s home, along with a rough drawing of a ladder in his notebook.

The ladder became another major piece of evidence. Wood expert Arthur Koehler traced part of it to lumber from a Bronx yard and said one section matched a missing board from the floor of Hauptmann’s attic.

There was plenty of evidence pointing toward Hauptmann. He was convicted in 1935 and executed in 1936, still denying that he was involved.

But there were also major gaps in the investigation. Hauptmann’s fingerprints were not found on the ladder, the nursery window, or the ransom notes. No one saw him at the Lindbergh home.

Investigators also went down some strange paths. Violet Sharpe was questioned repeatedly despite having an alibi, and detective Ellis Parker later pursued Paul Wendel, forcing a false confession through kidnapping and torture.

The evidence against Hauptmann was strong. The bigger question is whether investigators ever uncovered the whole story.

As a kid I often thought my parents weren't my real parents. (I was around 8-12 when I was having these thoughts.)

I assumed they were something amongst the sort of "Aliens." And that my real parents were locked in the attic or something, and I would picture scenario's of the said aliens threatening my parents, who were tied up.

Around this age I wasn interested in media involving Aliens, and I was certainly wasn't a mystery or action enthusiast, as my entire personality revolved around warrior cats at the time, so I have no idea what could've possibly brought on this thought, and if its even normal?

Shortly after sending a WhatsApp message to his wife confirming his arrival in Lumbini, his phone went dead, and he vanished without a trace.

Subsequent investigations revealed a classic intelligence honeypot operation: the recruiter's domain was hosted on Indian servers and deleted immediately after his disappearance, while the phone numbers used were untraceable VoIP lines. Pakistani authorities officially accused India's intelligence agency, R&AW, of orchestrating his abduction.
