This is why when there's a new flavor I seek out a bottle before I buy a 12-pack. I got a 12-pack of something a couple of years ago that I had to wait until I had a cold and couldn't taste to finish.

Usually thats a good idea, but for the Dirty Dew i found the bottle and cans were way too different.

Bottles had a really bad gross bitter taste to it, while the cans were much closer to what i expected from a Cream soda. I actually do like the Dirty Dew, but only in cans. And its still not my favorite, its pretty low on my list of flavors

I feel like a lot of sodas don't get individual bottles anymore, or they are really hard to find. Mountain Dew is the exception. I never saw bottles of the A&W sundae, and I haven't seen the A&W or Mug floats. It's almost like when they know they have a bad/polarizing flavor they force people to buy at least 12 packs to move the stock

I try to do the same, bottle first before cans… but if I I can’t find the bottle and cans are my only option, I just end up taking the rest into my workplace break room for my coworkers if I don’t end up liking it

Yeah, if it's something I really want to try and I can't find a bottle then I'll get a 12-pack, that's what I had to do with the coconut Dr. Pepper which I ended up liking. I tried for weeks to find a bottle in zero sugar and no one where I live got them in.

I had the opposite happen with Purple Thunder, I managed to snag a couple of bottles but by the time the store had a decent deal on 12-packs they didn't have any ZS ones left and they never got any more in.

Why didn't you mix them with other dews for added cream flavor? On its own it was too strong, but mixed with other flavors it balanced out. Cream Livewire, Cream Code Red, Cream Voltage were pretty good if you like Cream sodas (not everyone does).

My best tip, if you have a slushie maker or anything similar add one can dirty dew for three cans regular dew and slowly use it up. In a slush it isn’t so bad when drowned out by the regular dew.
