I was at the pool today when a woman started having a conversation on her phone using the speaker.

I politely asked her if she could not use the speaker and pointed to my headphones.
She said, “I don’t have headphones.”
So I said, “You can just hold the phone next to your ear.”

She looked at me with a completely blank expression and said, “I’m on speakerphone.”
I said, “Well… that’s the problem.”

Apparently, we had reached the limits of modern technology.

Seriously these people can't handle socialization right if people speaking on their phone gets them this irate.

Not even people yelling at their phone, they're mad at people simply using speakerphone.

You're THIS mad about people talking to other humans in public.

Speakerphone doesn't imply that you are speaking loud, be mad at people for speaking loud.

No he's mad at people talking to their phones and gettinv distorted, loud, shitty sounding answers. Our brain is made to pay attention to stuff like that.

See this one is valid, but not really. You guys are all assuming that anyone using their speakerphone is loud, since you are just assuming this and it could simply be the case that someone IS NOT LOUD, it's not a valid complaint.
