It should be noted bees only die when stinging big animals like humans. They can get away with stinging bugs

You know, I never actually knew what they were called, but if I had to guess, I probably would have guessed Hover Fly.

They’re actually pretty cool. The young “(technically maggots but look like green caterpillers) are carnivores, and hunt and eat aphids. Gardeners love them. The adults are harmless and feed off flower nectar!

Actually they only die if the barb on their stinger gets stuck.
They can sting without getting stuck, and they can even successfully get their stinger unstuck if given time.
