Best years for a used Cx70/90?

My mom's looking to get into the Mazda family (thanks to me hell yes) and wants a 70/90 but we're not sure what the best years are for these. Any recommendations?

Lucky for you, there are only 3 model years for the 90 and 2 for the 70. The 2026 will be the most reliable for both. Then 2025.

Read the long term reviews in Motor Trend and Car and Driver.

I’d question the validity of a “long term review” when the car is barely 3 years old.

And that’s on a Gen 1 version 1.

Car and Driver drove the 2024 CX-90 for 40,000 miles. Motor Trend the 2025 CX-70 for 20,000 miles and a full year. Both regularly do long term tests of popular cars. That is definitely a “long term” review.

Both said stay away from this one, in pretty clear language.

They are all “gen 1 version 1,” lol. New models get reviewed. That is how it works.

Mazda’s sales figures for these two models speak volumes.
