Discussion Every Marvel Rivals character sorted by their Firing Type

Post image

This is sorted by both primary and secondary fire, as well as transformations/ability’s/teamups that change firing types.

I’ll go over my reasoning for hybrids and some specific characters that may be unclear for as to why they are hybrids.

I am not including single use ability’s on cooldown or ultimate ability’s, for example Magik’s ranged sword slash or BP’s spear, only ability’s that directly change a characters firing type.

Hybrids because of a different primary/secondary fire: Spider-Man, Scarlet Witch, Adam Warlock, Cyclops, Jeff The Landshark, Iron Man, Devil Dino

Hybrids because of a transformation that changes their primary fire: Rogue, Captain America, Mister Fantastic, White Fox, Emma Frost, Cloak And Dagger, Jubilee, Thor

Hybrids because of two different weapons: Blade, Deadpool’s, Black Widow

Hybrid because of team ups changing their primary: Storm, Venom, also Jubilee and Devil Dinosaur

Some hybrids might still be a bit unclear, I’m only classing Rogue as Hybrid because her Flying Kick ability changes her primary to a ranged projectile.

Mister Fantastic is in Hybrid because his default primary is technically a beam, but when in inflated state becomes melee.

Thors Primary is changed into a projectile Lighting by his Awakening State

Captain America’s primary becomes Projectile instead of melee after 2 Hits

Emma Frost has a beam primary and White Fox has a projectile primary, but both have an ability to turn into a melee form

Storm’s Primary Becomes Hitscan when choosing the Thor teamup

Anyone outside of the Hybrid tier has strictly the same type of firing type on their primary, for example Magneto has the Scarlet Witch team up which transforms his already projectile primary into a different projectile.

TL;DR Daredevil is D-Tier

Edit: Widow can be classed as a Hitscan/Melee hybrid because of her Batons, totally forgot those existed

I didn’t know that actually, I always just assumed it was a projectile. I’ll edit that part thanks

I wpudk have assumed it was melee. Does it bypass shields like melee?

Nah, only in Inflated State it classes as Melee and goes through shields

Jeff’s “beam” is a continuous stream of projectiles with travel time unlike Emma’s or Ultron’s.

So he’s probably be in the projectile class rather than hybrid right?

Yeah, I noticed when I was making the list that on Marvel Rivals Fandom they class his primary as a “Delayed Projectile”, I just thought that Jeff’s primary is already unique enough compared to his secondary that he may as well be considered as a hybrid, but he could definitely go in projectile

Jeff is actually full projectile his beam has travel time so does his aqua burst, Deadpool teamup and bubbles but I guess his venom one and ult are hitscan?

Psylocke's secondary is a projectile, not hitscan
