Since the iOS 27 Beta removes the option to take 48mp photos is there a free app to do it (not just free to download but also free to use without subscription fees) ?

It didn't remove the option. You need to have ProRaw & Resolution Control enabled.

If you don't see that then you have a bug from the beta. iOS 27 comes out soon so just wait for the release and the bug will be gone.

Yeah, I have the beta bug. 48mp not showing up in the Formats / Resolution control.

Reddit is full of iOS beta users having this bug for months. Just search “48mp missing”. The only workaround is downloading a third-party camera app.
