Did the hand survive?

u/AL_25 2h ago

If I remember correctly, she had some nerves damaged but her hand is fine

u/Dahnlor 2h ago

No permanent damage aside from a few scars. She was on Clint’s Reptiles for an interview a few days afterwards and had a follow up about a year later.

Thanks for letting me know, I wasn’t sure

u/fiesew 1h ago

You have them animals already caged in for display in a tiny pool.

Where’s the fucking point in trying to make it a circus show out of it?

u/Spirit_Legit 17m ago

Money.

u/RelationshipOne2225 2h ago

Her rolling with the gator and the bystander pinning it down saved her hand.

u/Vladishun 2h ago

That guy had some kind of previous run in with crocodilians given his knowledge and quick reaction time. It's honestly amazing that person was able to roll with the creature that first spin, the death roll is instinctual and it's how they tear chunks of flesh off of prey to consume it.

But me even knowing that much wouldn't be enough for me to jump in and throw my weight on it, that's why I believe he's had some kind of run-in before even if he may not have had professional training. Which honestly makes it all the more impressive and fortunate he happened to be right there.

There was a follow up interview on YouTube with the handler who got bit. Really interesting the way her instincts kicked in so she could roll with the gator and save her hand

Ive seen this video so many times, the man in green is a fucking legend. Im not sure many of us would have processed & confidently reacted within that amount of time. Man saw an issue & didnt hesitate

u/Skwaasher 2h ago

I am assuming you mean the guy in the yellow shirt with blue sleeves, because the guy in the green shirt did very little.

u/__batz 2h ago

Fair point, yes indeed. The Hero man

u/AnimalWelfareNZ 2h ago

I would have reacted faster but differently. I would have found something sharp and killed the alligator.

Username is a fraud, should be Timmy tuff knuckles

u/TheGooseIsGone 2h ago

Luckily he managed to weigh that alligator down with his balls of steel.

u/yezhnuzjhd 2h ago

Bro acts like he's been doing it daily for years. Respect

u/haaheehachoo 2h ago

She just about put her hand in his mouth though

u/Quirkiz 3h ago

u/SoftAvelisse 2h ago

He went from zoo guest to emergency backup in half a second

u/Comfortable_Rub2377 2h ago

Give this guy an award! That was an incredible save.

u/Training-Lettuce6773 2h ago

Took mom too long to pull the kids away lol

u/MedievalMilshake 2h ago

Good, teach them not to fuck with prehistoric beasts

u/checkedem 2h ago

Did not ever expect to see someone put an alligator in a BJJ closed guard. Probably helped her not to get death rolled if she rolled with it.

u/Adorable-Maybe-3006 2h ago

thats terrifying. cant waait to see it in every sub for the next 3 days

u/anomaly_diaries 2h ago

Curious question: Does poking it in the eye or closing it's nostrils not help?

Could be a lame question. Don't come at me

u/LectroRoot 17m ago

Closing its nostrils isn't going to do anything. They can hold their breath a very very long time underwater. I'm curious about gouging its eyes though.

Bro does not lie on his resume. He told her earlier yeah I've fucked with giant snakes before, she remembered, and trusted him. What choice did she have, but she trusted him with her life.

what the fuck is he talking about?

u/Trick_Air7824 3h ago

this will answer a lot of people who go around saying every animal can be tamed with "love"

u/JamStan1978 2h ago

Lots of wild animals can be tamed. Doesnt mean they will be 100% safe.

u/Trick_Air7824 14m ago

crocodiles can NOT be tamed

u/Specialist_Gap3223 2h ago

What a bad ass! Both the handler and the guest. At no point in time did she cry out! She kept her cool the entire time, and the way the guy just jumped in without question and hopped on the animal is insane!

u/SnooHesitations6727 2h ago

Why didn’t they start poking its eyes or something

u/Impossible_Stock8885 2h ago

yeah or poop on its head

u/CandyTigger 1h ago

What kind of zoo is this where staff and the public can just get in like that??

u/fun-cruiser 2h ago

He doesnt seem to be a guest, though

u/Amazing_Scientist696 2h ago

Talk about Mr. Toads wild ride.

u/Fatbiscuitfb 2h ago

Not the death roll

u/Madboardjester 2h ago

This put up after the death of another handler yesterday.

u/Mrfriskylamar 2h ago

I’ve about had it with zoos.

u/kiddtender 1h ago

This is so 2021 bro. Just keep regurgitating the same shit. 💩 🍦

u/TheI-Iound 1h ago

u/TheI-Iound 1h ago

u/Roger_Fiderer 1h ago

That guy has balls.

u/schwarzneguRRR 2h ago

I’d 100% just watch the show

u/Aggravating-Bug121 2h ago

The guest is a hero, but the zookeeper is one very cool person.
