Did a human evolve into a plane?

u/Hazril258 26m ago

No no. It's the horse that evolved into one.

LOL! No silly! You had your phone upside down. A plane evolved into a horse.

Didn't we have cars and bicycles a 100 years ago?

If we are talking about internal combustion engines, then it was almost exactly 100 after the invention of the engine when the B2 spirit was manufactured. I don't know how to feel about that honestly.

That bomber is also ~40 years old

u/anotherfrud 39m ago

Yes. In the US a little under 20% of adults had one compared to about 85% today. They definitely existed but weren't quite as ubiquitous as they are today.

What percentage of people own stealth bombers now?

u/OldJames47 23m ago

As a US tax payer, I co-own 20. But like a timeshare, the rules on when I get to use one are pretty restrictive.

An airplane is an invention, not evolution.

Well yes, but no. It's an evolution in a sense that it follows from earlier inventions. I can't just drop a team of highly skilled engineers on a desert island and say: make me a B2 stealth bomber. You need everything that came previously both practical and theoretical to do that. So it is an invention.

The Marlboro man and a b-2, some of America's greatest killers. šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

ā€œEvolution.ā€ lol.

I would say ingenuity, not evolution…

Why not both?

Funny how the rider—Manifest Destiny firmly on his mind—heads west, while the B‑2 flies toward the Middle East: American imperialism over the centuries, from settlements to securing the Petro Dollar and world hegemony, genocide always in there somewhere...

Evolution and yet mentally we are even more self-destructing than ever.

Innovation not evolution

u/Weaksoul 14m ago

*innovation

u/OhItsMrCow 11m ago

oh so people don't ride on horses anymore, they just fly in their B-2 to the store?

u/RiceAndBeanie 6m ago

So bombers evolved from horses?
