Exactly. That was not a play-time approach, it was a bullet toward the kid. Then he went after him again a second time but was held off.
• u/ZombieAladdin 17h ago I thought it might have been both: that the other dog has designated the kid as prey and was planning on mauling him, and THAT is play-time to it. No different than how a dog might see play-time with a squirrel.
