I have a business degree and make not too far from that. It all depends on what you do with it and I don't think it's impossible to work your way up to that with a business degree which is way more useful than you seem to think lol.

Business, lol. Try art history or something else man. You can definitely make something happen with a business degree. Just tough rn with a lot the entry level analyst positions going to AI.

To be fair, it's also due to where I live. There are very few office jobs in general, most of the work around here is blue collar. The only office jobs are government and the business side of the mines.

Have a buddy that does travel nurse work, like the person in the post. Under the right circumstances, $125/hr is not unheard of. Nurses with rare specialties can do very well

Best thing about Oregon is Washington isn’t too far away. But seriously, it’s a nice place to live on the coast. I don’t live there, but for $125/hr I’d consider it.

I grew up in Oregon. Mild climate, skiing two hours from the largest city, coast two hours from the largest city, wilderness areas for hiking and camping, and a very walkable downtown in Portland. If a job hadn't taken me away, I would still be there. Envy someone getting that good of offer to move there.
