Question Has anyone actually gotten an item back through a Finnish Lost & Found center?

I left my DSLR camera at a club in Helsinki, Finland about a month ago.
When I contacted the club directly, they told me it had already been sent to the Lost & Found center.
I currently live in the Netherlands, so it's not easy for me to just go to Helsinki myself to check in person.

I asked a friend who lives locally to go in person and check, but the staff said it wasn't in their system yet, so they couldn't find it.
I've also tried calling the Lost & Found center multiple times and can never get through, and I submitted their online lost-item report form about a month ago as well, but I haven't heard anything back since.

At this point I'm starting to worry the camera is just sitting somewhere unlogged and I'll never get it back.
Has anyone here actually managed to recover an item through a Finnish Lost & Found center? How long did it take, and is there a better way to follow up than phone/email?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Yes I forgot my headphones at a hotel in Helsinki once. The hotel’s website said to contact the Lost & Found center in any case, so a few days after checking out of the hotel I logged it with the Lost & found center with a detailed description of my headphones and a stock picture. I didn’t think I’d ever hear from them but I actually got a reply within 24 hours that they had it, picked it up the next day.

Really! Thank you for the encouraging message. I'll wait a little longer.

Well, as I wrote I got a reply on my inquiry within 24 hrs, if yours hasn’t been properly answered after a whole month.. I’m sorry :(
But yeah what IS encouraging is that the system does work.

Yes, I have gotten something back some years ago, although it was left on a tram. That was in person, but just this week I have used their phone service about something else, it wasn't found but the phone service worked fine. It's weird if you're not getting through after multiple calls, is the area code correct? You should get a robot first to select language, then an operator answers after holding for a while. Since my name is weird to finns they asked me to send my inquiry by email too to make sure it was logged with correct spelling, their email they gave is found@found.fi so maybe try emailing there too?

What time did you make the call? A friend in Finland called on my behalf, but it didn't connect, and after being kept on hold, it was disconnected.

I'll try contacting them via email as well!

The whole call was less than 4 minutes so only a little hold time
