Why did we delist Alex Sexton?
I know it's easy to say in heinsight but I feel like delisting Alex Sexton was a bad decision. He's been killing it for us in the VFL, often out-performing actual AFL listed players. Also with such a young list as we have it'd be great to have some more experience and leadership within the group which he would definitely provide. He was definitely a loss for the club imo

Unfortunately he plays a role many of our young guys play, except we've seen his ceiling, so we went with youth and the potential. He's obviously still a valued team member hence why he's kept in the VFL team.

How can we delist someone but them still play for the vfl team? Especially when our vfl team is just a reserves team not an affiliated club

Imagine being Sexton. Just being a half decent player in a shit team that will never be remembered by anyone. Could have at least made a name for himself playing in a footy state.

I mean most people don’t even get to play AFL so I think he did pretty well for himself

I mean he isn’t a sex pest that we know of, but that’s always what I’ve called him

Yeahhhhhh I think the comp is learning that holding on to your more experienced players is helpful even for non-rebuilding teams as it provides younger players guidance and an enhanced development.
