Just finished the original show and the End of Evangelion. Obviously it's very deep and surreal. One question I have specifically about EoE, why did Rei pilot Adam to meet with Lilith? She says something to the effect of "I'm not your slave" to Gendo when she rejected him morphing with her (?) went up to Adam, became giant- buuut ended up doing what Gendo wanted anyway - instrumentality.

Why would she say that and do the thing that result with what he wants?

It seemed to me she had a little bit of an arch realizing he sucks.

Also sorry if this has been answered I am a former anime hater and this is first anime I've watched (unless speed racer counts)

While most EVAs are clones of two angels SHIN Eva was not cloned from Adam or Lilith, but instead from the DNA of a dead/or surviving member of the FAR, the same extinct unknown race that created the SEEDS of Life.

Why it'll be overpowered OC Eva, it's a clone of the FAR. Since Final Model can do a bunch of crazy stuff like muscle enhancement, draw power from a different dimension, AT Field body shield, controlled berserk, giant of light.)

SHIN Eva's list of FAR powers would be:

• laser eyes

• more beyond AT Field manipulation (can use it's AT field to trap an angel's body and crush them, and manipulate a living beings's AT Field to turn them into orange fanta/an controll their bodies)

•energy beams (because most super robots do, basically Ultraman beam attacks and others)

Reason It gets renamed to Shin EVA, is reference to Getter Robo, Shin Getter was originally named True Getter, then SRW was adding True Getter to the game it was renamed to SHIN.

I released a concept EP today exploring what went through Shinji’s mind during the instrumentality project. Every song is based on a different character, I did all of the art myself, I got voice actors from the abridged series to do lines. Hello, I saw someone write an argument along these lines regarding the interpretation of the 30th anniversary. Asuka does, in fact, reject Shinji at the end of the 30th anniversary special; they cited the fact that during instrumentality in NGE, Shinji rejected the idea of the perfect anime sitcom world, knowing that he would never have a normal relationship with his parents and classmates. Similarly, Asuka rejects Shinji because she is primarily a pilot/fighter, and she has no interest in being tied down to Shinji and rejects the idea of marriage with him. What would be the counterargument to this? A lot of people write that Asuka does want a relationship with Shinji, just not a superficial one handed to her, but she wants to fight for her own world, but they don't cite any evidence that she particularly wants to be with Shinji in some way.

I just finished rewatching NGE and holy the scene where baby Rei and Ritsukos mom are having a convo and I think its so funny that baby Rei keeps telling her she’s a hag considering future Rei would never speak like that lmao. Even though it’s a super sad scene it will never fail to make me laugh 😆

Today me and my brother went to the store and we saw this Evangelion Gacha like thing - we’re both fans so we both got one each (like 20€) - he got shinji, I got this one. “Super secret edition”. he said it’s probably worth a lot cause it’s super rare. I’m not really sure about it. It looks cool and I’m an eva fan, so I would normally put it on my desk. But does anyone know if it really is worth soo much? Best regards! 🤩
