Locked out of my account

Around 4 days ago I was in an item trading server for a game I play so I was messaging people and talking about trades. I messaged multiple people in a short amount of time which is why i think discord put a rate limit on my account making me unable to verify my phone number and use my account, but other than that I was also using a browser vpn so it made me do a human check eveytime I wanted to message someone, so that might have also caused something. I've contacted discord support and they've explained to me how I just have to wait it out, but after checking out the help page I saw that discord says it should go away after 24-48 hours and if it doesn't you need to contact support (I did that but didn't get anywhere)

Unfortunately all you can do is wait longer. Discord support isnt going to reset that counter, I doubt they even have access to it. Are you on a vpn or shared network?

I used a browser vpn at the time and i use my phone's personal hotspot

It's likely that's contributing to it. If you're on a bad vpn and several people are requesting phone verification, it looks suspicious.

most sites kept throwing random human checks at me when I used that vpn, so I'm not using it since what happened 4 days ago but I'm still wondering if my account is gonna be fixed by the end of the week cuz I have some stuff I have to take care of. I saw someone else run into the same problem for over 2 months without getting their account back so I'm kinda worried.

Well we can't tell you how long it'll take and discord won't either so there's not much that can be done about it

I've had similar support experience with roblox so I'm used to the fact that most of the time support doesn't do anything. thank you for clarifying the situation
