I’m an Amazon driver.

Yes the one with the big van, and the blue and black vest, the one who works for a third party company (not Amazon), and the one who has to carry your 2-4 boxes of overflow 75lb of water bottle packages to your, as yall like to put it, “MY FUCKING FRONT DOOR!!!”

But that’s not what my rant today is all about.

Today I had multiple packages to deliver to a customer’s house. I stopped right in front of the house. Technically I wasn’t supposed to park there.

Now I take full accountability for that.
I don’t do it for fun, I do it for safety purposes, to have an easy exist plan, and to NOT BLOCK traffic.

Mind you I tried my best.

I wasn’t blocking anybody, I wasn’t leaving the van there unattended for an hour, and I wasn’t trying to inconvenience anyone. I literally needed to carry multiple packages to the door and was going to be there for maybe THREE MINUTES or less.

Keep in mind I had to deliver to STINSON BEACH, CA 94970.

Could easily get stuck up there✅
No help can come to you because you’re too far away✅
Hidden/unarmed Hazards✅
Traffic✅
Increase risk of van damage and car damage✅
People walking everywhere✅
KIDS running everywhere✅
DOGS RUNNING EVERYWHERE✅

All which would make a driver not want to deliver there.

Now my route over there started off pretty bad. But eventually I started picking the pace and everything started being ok for me.

Now when I deliver I have a rule of my own that I follow.

I ONLY and MAINLY block the house I’m delivering to. Especially if I have no where to park. I’d rather block your driveway then a random persons drive way. Again I don’t like it but I have to do my job.

Tell me why this old man pulls his car up next to me, looks at me in the eye. Signaling me and goes, “Can you read?!” “You not suppose to park there why are you park there?!”

And that’s what gets me sometimes. If we use somebody’s driveway, people complain. If we don’t use the driveway and temporarily stop somewhere convenient to make the delivery, somebody complains about that too. Like where exactly would you like me to put this giant delivery van while I bring everybody their packages?? 😭
But the funniest part? Before I could even respond to him, HE DROVE OFF. MAD!!!
That’s what pissed me off more than anything. If you’re bold enough to pull up beside a stranger and sarcastically ask them “Can you read?”, at least be bold enough to sit there for five more seconds and hear the response you specifically invited. 😂

SIR. YES. 😭 I can read the sign. I also have a van full of packages and multiple boxes that I need to carry to this customer’s front door.
And another thing people don’t seem to understand is that a lot of these houses aren’t exactly easy or safe to deliver to. Some have steep or narrow driveways, nowhere for a van to turn around, blocked access, loose dogs, terrible stairs, construction, or other hazards. Sometimes pulling into the driveway actually creates MORE of a problem because now I have to figure out how to get this big-ass van back out safely.

It was at that moment I had wished I blocked his ass.

I should’ve giving him my keys for him to do my job. Now he’s gonna go home, give himself a pat on the back thinking that he did the world a favor.

Type of sht that’s aggravating.

MAY ALL TYPES OF DISRESPECT RAIN ON HIS TIME TICKING ASS.

I really just wrote this because I was pissed off after my route and needed somewhere to get it off my chest. I wasn’t expecting people to actually pay attention to the story like this. 😂

Understand I appreciate a lot of customers from this job. This man was NOT a customer he was just a random bystander. Which made it worse. I didn’t write this post to bash Amazon customers I do see and appreciate the appreciation and snacks you guys left us.

Also I see a lot of you like my storytelling. Thank you! I appreciate it. I used to write a lot of stories when I was younger. Seeing people enjoy my story was something I was not expecting.

To all the delivery drivers, Fed ex, ups, usps, Amazon, etc. I also appreciate yall. I’m not just a driver I’m also a customer.

Something was arriving with Delhivery. It was prepaid order. Product was gone out for delivery in morning. After half hour it's showing delivered without the actual delivery. I visited the Delhivery Delivery Hub of my area and explained this. They gave me phone number of delivery agent who was picked my parcel from the hub. I called him he said he will chake and call me back. He nevar called me even when I was calling him he don't picked up the call. After few hours I called him back then he recieved the call and said the parcel was with him but he backed to the hub he will deliver it tomorrow. I raised the complaint in Delhivery app but there are some AI chatbots replies an agent will reply within two hours and showing you have an active ticket. I requested call back also but nevar received a reply or callback. Then I posted it on X(Twitter), then they replied on twitter they are working on it and they will back with resolution but they nevar replied back. In the evening time the manager was called to me and he said he will send my parcel now but I have to give a photocopy of aadhar for verification because I complained. I denied for aadhar but he said delivery is not possible without aadhar. The delivery agent who marked delivered my parcel also called me and said some other person will deliver my parcel. When I asked him why your marked my parcel delivered? He said it was mistake. If this was mistake why he didn't received my call and cut my call. I don't know what's his intetation? They send other delivery agent with my parcel but he keep asking for aadhar. I send a cropped masked aadhar where VID number, My name, DOB and full address was visible which was available on my phone to the manager's personal whatsapp. Then they delivered it. I nevar got any reply or call. I received some notification from Delhivery app when I clicked on call back they are trying to reach me but I never received any call from their side not any reply in Delhivery app. An active ticket is showing from last 6 days. They send a reply on twitter after two days they are working on it. And it's have been almost 10 days. Worst courier service I ever seen.

I work for Lyft, door dash, Instacart, shipt, spark, and a couple other random little ones. I think Lyft and door dash are my favorites but I’ve heard great things about spark and shipt was great to me in the past.

I downloaded Mystro- that looks like it automatically handles declining and accepting orders from different apps. But it doesn’t allow me to connect them all. It only accepts like one or two.

Anyways yeah please help. So far I’ve been getting the same advice over and over “just monitor the app and decline if it’s not good money”. But I don’t understand how that doesn’t affect your standing and also I’m new to some of these apps and don’t want to get kicked off.

As an online seller Ive been scheduling a lot of package pickups lately cus 1. I can’t drive 2. it’s so much easier. I’m writing this out of sheer frustration, anger, and helplessness. I want to share how Delhivery logistics managed to steal a smartphone out of a locked, 500-gram parcel and how their premium "Senior Leadership Escalations" team is shamelessly trying to gaslight me to avoid paying up.

Here is exactly what happened:

My elderly father wanted to give me a surprise gift. He sent me a Realme smartphone inside a mobile phone box and booked the shipment through the Delhivery courier website.

Since it was a surprise, he didn't tell me about it beforehand. While booking, he made a mistake—he selected the category as "Rakhi/Envelope" instead of electronics. However, the booking agent weighed the package on their digital scale, and the official receipt clearly logs the weight as 500 grams.

The Warehouse Theft:

The parcel never reached me. When it got delayed, I called their customer service. To my absolute shock, the customer executive and the Delhivery agent casually informed me over the phone that the package was found tampered with and wide open at their warehouse. They literally told me, "Sir, the outer packaging is open, and the mobile box inside is completely empty."

Someone inside the Delhivery transit hub or warehouse cut open the seal and stole the device.

The Audacity of Delhivery Support:

When I demanded an investigation and compensation, their first response was a templated email asking me to send “clear pictures/videos of the contents inside the shipment.” How on earth am I supposed to take pictures of a stolen phone that was never delivered to me?!

I replied with the original invoice of the phone and the official booking receipt showing the 500g weight. Anyone with a brain can deduce that a "Rakhi or Envelope" doesn't weigh half a kilo. The 500g weight is indisputable proof that a solid device was handed over to them.

Then, their Senior Leadership Team (sltescalations@delhivery.com) took it a step further. They replied asking for "clear pictures of the shipment taken during the packing process."

Who systematically records a cinematic step-by-step packing video when sending a casual surprise gift through a reputed courier company?! They are explicitly using this as a loophole to shift the blame onto an elderly retail customer and protect their thieving staff.

Current Status:

After I threatened them with a police FIR for internal theft, a National Consumer Helpline (NCH) complaint, and a public escalation on Twitter/X and LinkedIn, they suddenly shifted their tone. They just emailed me saying, "We are currently investigating the matter with the concerned team. Kindly allow us some time." They didn't even provide a timeline.

Please guys suggest what to do next ?

Would you rather make 21 an hour or more depending on total hours you worked, plus reimbursement for mileage, plus reimbursement for lost tips , you can cancel any time take a break any time, you can log in any time, you can work whenever, just instead of picking rides you tell us how long you want to work and where you want to end. You can put in an hour and see if you want to add later and cancel any time.

While this video circulating on social media shows the situation with Chinese delivery apps, things aren’t the same in India yet. Still, from what I see around me, delivery drivers are already everywhere and very easy to spot in the city. It might end up looking similar here in the future.

like I don't understand it was out for delivery on 30 aug i didn't even got an call from delivery boy and then at night they said we couldn't deliver your order .We will reattempt delivery tomorrow I was like ok I'll wait till tomorrow

But then things got worse there was not even a single update about my order it's been already 4 days when I tried to contact them on call their call bot does nothing just says we're sorry for the inconvenience and says "our team will get in touch with you shortly" like what I've been calling for 3 days straight when they're getting in touch?? This was the worst delivery experience by far , couldn't even cancel my order at this point help me if you know anything!!
