Success Story Success Story Saturday - Share Your Wins Here
Share your wins here - big or small. What did you declutter this week? Examples include:
- Digital Clutter: emails, digital photos, digital music or video collection...
- Storage: cupboards and closets, drawers, storage boxes...
- Toys: ether for your child, or your own that you've been hanging on to.
- Spaces: kitchens, workshops, hobby rooms, storage lockers...
- Routing: sending items to where they need to go, like donation centres, trash, or recycling
This is a low-stress place to share wins for those who might not want to create a new discussion.

Just one item, but it was a huge mental hurdle I finally got over. I finally cleaned out my 12 year old backpack I got my freshman year of college that's coming apart and has disintegrating faux leather. The St. Vincent de Paul thrift store near me does fabric recycling and I think it can go in there!
I need to get serious about selling/giving away things on marketplace and the buy nothing group and I would like to request support :') (accepting it's time is the success there, I guess... it makes me very anxious for some reason)
•
u/Electrical-Profit367 2d ago
Hoping this counts as support: This week I sold a bunch of random coin silver spoons my mom used to buy at garage sales as well as two broken silver and wood salad servers. This netted me $840 American. (Which gets split w my siblings but still, a nice chunk of change for some stuff that was cluttering up my house!!)

•
u/Impossible-Corgi742 2d ago
Where did you put this up for sale? I have some to sell.
•
u/Electrical-Profit367 2d ago
I brought it to a local jewelry store which routinely buys silver.
Google sell/buy silver in your area or ask your local jeweler if they buy silver or know who in the area does. It was all sold for melt value, not for what it was. Check if your silver is sterling or coin; those will be bought but I don’t think they’ll buy plate. But it’s worth trying! Good luck.

I had two bags like that. I had an original lululemon bag (like from the first store in Toronto) and it was glorious- it was a pink oversized bowling bag type duffle ahhh I still miss it hahaha but it was coming apart and while it made me sad it was time. Also had to do that with my high school back pack. That backpack lasted me like 15+ years. To the point my husband used it for work for years hahaha
•
u/KiwiTheKitty 2d ago
They can feel like such sentimental objects! I'm far enough out from college now that I don't really feel like it holds specific memories anymore though, which is why I finally feel ready to let it go

My backpack story: I was looking for a zippered bag, to take to medical appointments further away - I take light rail and wanted to take knitting and stuff with me, plus any paperwork I might receive back I guess. Anyway, went to the store to search, only thing available other than very large purses was a backpack. Friendly stranger noticed and said you have to be careful, these backpacks now don't handle all the books kids carry, and if they're cheap they can break. I said thank you, it's okay it's just for me and I'm an adult (and not carrying textbooks). The backpack I was looking at was $70 not on sale, so not cheap. In the end, I just ordered 3 bags (different sizes) from Amazon that will hopefully fit my needs for $30. Just really light use for continuing my medical journey.

Maybe just start with one thing to sell/give away. I find the processes sometimes very overwhelming, but I feel SO GOOD when something is gone. What part of it makes you anxious?
•
u/KiwiTheKitty 2d ago
Honestly that's a great idea! I think what makes me anxious is that for a lot of stuff, posting it means I'm opening myself up to further interactions and things I need to do because I don't want to leave most of it sitting outside or it's too big to move on my own. I've been thinking about posting just a couple cleaning products I missed the return window for because I can just put them on the curb and say first come first served, but there's no minimum amount of items I need to include, so I think I'll just start with one of them!
•
u/GallowayNelson 1d ago
I hate dealing with random people in the way that is needed for selling things online locally. Between the ones who are just wasting your time and awkward interactions with others, it just makes me feel majorly uncomfy. I also have the conundrum of things that are too big to move on your own. I have a big bookshelf I'd love to sell. I don't love the idea of strangers coming to my house, and I can't move it out of my space alone or fit it in my car. So it just...looms, lol. One thing I'd say is that, I'm not sure where you are located, but where I live, I can put stuff down by the road when I take out the trash, and people will take things if they want them. I've done this with old planters, chairs, plastic bins, etc, that were perfectly good. Beats having to take somewhere or post online. Maybe that could also be a easy option?
•
u/domino_427 1d ago
no, you're right. getting rid of that one big hurdle. it may be just one thing, but this clutterbug we got is a big mental cage. that one thing is a big brick that's no longer holding you back <3
•
u/NunyaBiznessMan 2d ago
Tackled the sporting goods and camping gear shelves. Decluttered several torn cooler bags that never kept anything cool anyway.
Vacuumed under it.
Condensed the extra organizing containers into one bin, and put it on the shelf.
Actually took the discarded items to recycling and the dump.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Nice! We've got our annual "gear sale" that benefits the local Park & Rec Department coming up at the end of the month. I've got a few "big" things set aside but your post reminds me that I should nose around and see if there's anything else we can re-home.

Local buy nothing is coming to the rescue for me as I declutter clothes 🙏
I have moved several times, had very different work clothes needs, and changed sizes several times in the last 5 years. Im reckoning with the accumulated wardrobe/s from all this.
But so far this week 6 bags out, and more are shaping up this weekend.
•
u/MitzyCaldwell 2d ago
They are great! When I did my original big declutter of clothes I gave everything to a handful of ppl and I am talking bags and bags and it was so great. They took it all.
•
u/PsychologicalFox3357 2d ago
Yep this is how it’s going for me!
I love that it goes straight to someone who can use it with Buy Nothing. Plus it gets picked up and I don’t have to go anywhere. I also have some bags for a local shop where proceeds go to support a local women’s/DV shelter.
•
u/MarshaMinus100 2d ago
I hadn't been on Facebook for years and a friend told me about Buy Nothing. Its a wonderful group to be a part of.
I was able to give away my daughters furniture to another Mom for her 4 year who was still in their crib.
6 bags is impressive - I can feel the weight of it no longer in your life.

A grocery bag full of old papers. Why is paperwork the toughest thing to toss?
•
u/GallowayNelson 2d ago
Maybe because whatever you throw out, you cannot just go to the store and repurchase. Paperwork is evil. I got through all mine earlier this year. Probably kept 1% of what I had.
•
•
u/MarshaMinus100 2d ago
I truly have a love hate relationship with paper. Its like it multiplies but somethings don't feel real to me unless it's in paper form.
And don't get me started on notebooks and pens.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago

My office is taking dress clothes donations. I’ve already gotten rid of most of my smaller work clothes, but made another dent in them. Husband also went through his for donation too.
•
u/Chibistar963 2d ago
I’ve been decluttering my house for a few months now and today I dropped off my 2nd car load. It was clothes, kitchen stuff, shoes, Christmas, and decor items to the local thrift store in town that supports local charities. They were so excited to get the stuff and I was so happy it was finally out of my house. I went to the used book store next and received a decent amount of credit there for 2 bags of books I had downsized/decluttered from my bookcases. I feel a lot lighter today. Still more to go thru but this was a lot taken out of my space.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Having a charity thrift store with a mission you want to support can make all the difference.
I used to collect Fiesta and I'm constantly curating my collection - this is stuff I would have tried to sell but now I just donate. The store knows how to price things, it's SUPER popular with very high turnover, and I would bet they get a better price for stuff than I would trying to sell on FB Marketplace - and they probably have a larger market.
•
u/Last-Interaction-360 2d ago
Everything is out from under my bed and nothing is going back under! Feels so much cleaner in the room.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
I know under-bed storage can be critical depending on your situation, but I've always felt like it's ground zero for stagnant air/dust - if not blocked energy then allergies?
•
u/Last-Interaction-360 1d ago
storage is tight but yes--I hate to think I was sleeping on top of all those dust bunnies and the air definitely smells better in the room. There's no clutter otherwise---I had shoved it under the bed. Still sorting through today and trying to throw most of it out!
•
u/Huge-Complaint7191 2d ago
Took everything out of the set of 4 drawers next to my desk. Grouped things together to see what I had more than one of and parted with a few things for the charity shop. Thought I'd make an inventory of everything on a spreadsheet, and as I put things that I wanted to keep back in the drawers, I listed which drawer they were in. I'd been thinking about buying a couple of spare chargers, one to plug in next to my bed, and one for next to where I sit in the living room. Turns out I already had two adapters, and loads of USB-C leads, so I was able to use a couple of those and save myself buying new!
Also listed loads of yarn on ebay (I'm not in my 'knitting season' of life at the moment, so might as well let someone else enjoy it) and some earlier listings have just sold, so that's a few more things about to be leaving the house.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Did you find something, decided it wasn't worth writing down, and then decluttered it?
I've got a household inventory and the tedium of adding it to my spreadsheet - and "formalizing" its existence in my inventory - made me get rid of a lot of "trivial" stuff.
•
u/Huge-Complaint7191 1d ago
I think there were definitely a few things that either went straight to trash, or to a donate bag, before I wrote them down. I found that I had an extra hole punch and stapler, so I took them downstairs to put in our stationary drawer, only to find that there were already a stapler and hole punch in there! So that's a job for another day. And I found a couple of mp3 players which I'll never use, so I gave them to my other half to see if he wanted to put some music on them either for himself or our son. I think they were briefly written on the inventory, and then quickly deleted!
I know some people do full house inventories, especially for insurance purposes, but this is more like a little one just of my own personal things. I'm the only one of us in the house who is interested in decluttering, so I'm just focusing on my own things.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Yes. Mine started out as an insurance inventory - my husband's coworker lost everything but his family members (and the vehicle they were driving) in a catastrophic whole-house fire. I asked my insurance agent (we have replacement coverage) and he said photos are good enough but they're still going to want a list.
"Office" was one of the last categories I really "rightsized" - we had a giant 6-drawer oak desk (held a TON of stuff) and when my husband replaced it with a very high-style, low-storage MCM desk/cabinet combo, I realized that most of that stuff was moved en masse in 2020 (some of it pre-existed out marriage in 2008) and for the most part, sat unopened/unused. Having those benchmarks made it pretty obvious that we don't actually use a lot of office supplies - or use them up as quickly as we think.
•
u/silentsquirreluk 2d ago
A big stack of foam mats and pram accessories (actual pram went to the tip a while ago). Not that impressive, but they were bulky and taking up lots of space under my desk so now I won't be getting annoyed by kicking them every time I'm working from home!
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Sometimes it's the volume, rather than the quantity, that counts. You get more bang for your buck getting rid of the big stuff.
•
u/lala_atlas 2d ago
Inspired by someone on here, we just gathered all the sheet sets in the house, as well as blankets and duvets. We had sooo many more sets than we need! We are going to get rid of at least 8 sheets and one duvet but I think a second pass may be in order. I also gathered a big bag of clothes that either don’t fit or are no longer my style, and I feel good that they are in shape to donate to someone else. Lastly we tidied enough to have cleaners come yesterday, which was a huge help for us, and is inspiring us to declutter even more (since they’re the sort who clean but put all the clutter back exactly where it was!). I’m proud of me and my husband for recognizing we have a problem with clutter and working through it together.

u/Pens_fan_87 2d ago
Deleted multiple pictures on multiple apps, unfollowed people/pages on social medias, got rid of some paperwork and took to work for shredding, deleted car lease app after making last payment.
•
u/GallowayNelson 2d ago
Oooh, yes on the unfollowing and all that. I try to do that from time to time. You did a lot of great things! Congrats on that last payment!
•
u/Pens_fan_87 2d ago
Thanks! It was just paying for the extra miles I'd put on the car and disposition fee since I didn't get into another car. Glad to be free and clear of it though!

Cleaning and moving everything from our basement. We this week sold all our basement furniture on marketplace and I am currently going thru my crafts and seriously downsizing from an entire office to hopefully 2-3 bins. I am excited and it does get easier for me now to not have the stress of having it all holding me back. I just had so much it was overwhelming to get rid of but haven't used it in 5 years.
•
u/Confident_Muscle5987 2d ago
I finally deep cleaned amd reorganized my kitchen nook that holds all my personal care items. It's needed this for awhile and it was really starting to bug me.
I can't resist to stop and admire how clean and tidy it looks now.

Just passed some teaching things to a colleague. Feels good to give them a new home.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Wow! Good for you! Teaching materials can be a super challenging category to declutter!
•
•
u/GallowayNelson 2d ago
Continued going through paperwork. Week three of going through all my mothers papers. It's been a grueling, thankless task but I have gotten through TONS so far.
Also took a car load of stuff to donate. Would love to take more but I am met with resistance from those who think space is infinite and everything should be kept forever. Still I view this week as successful in the decluttering department!
•
u/Kurt_Kane 2d ago
I actually got off my rear and cleaned out my linen closet (had linens, camping gear, and school type supplies, and other household supplies like extra toothbrushes and so o . I had a stack of old jeans my kids out grew in their later HS years… which are being donated. Forget sellinf, I’m ready for real progress. I’ll save selling for actually valuable stuff. Donating some camping gear like my large tent, but keeping my small two person tent, two sleeping bags, a fleece sleeping bag, and a few other things. It’s great seeing the closet so empty because i want it to be the new home for other things as they get more organized. I also picked out some items to donate from the stuff i cleaned out of my attic. Which the room its all in is a more major project but I needed a small victory. Inching forward!
That was just today. Garbage can is near full, but I’m going to keep on going because i can use the dumpster at work for the excess trash (within reason). My oldest son will take the donations for me which will help rip the bandaid off not second guessing stuff. Things not used for years can go. Like the dehumidifiers … i have two, haven’t used either since the kids were small. They still work. Maybe someone else will get one and be happy.
•
u/ihatebeetles22 2d ago
I just hit the quote "forget selling I'm ready for real progress". Donating 9 pieces of furniture this week! Let's keep up the good work.
•
u/Kurt_Kane 2d ago
Yes lets! I’m past ready for my big cleanout of my attic and all of the other spaces in my house to be done. Less physical baggage holding me down, and more freedom to just live and enjoy life. I already do well to resist purchases, just need this other stuff no one uses out.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
My husband and I have a teardrop trailer so that's replaced pretty much all of our car camping stuff. But one of the best things I ever did was downsize our backpacking/canoeing kit - I had my husband pack for a mock trip (he has a lot more experience/camp craft than me) and anything left over, pretty much got the heave-ho.
This is a category I wish I had dealt with before our big downsizing move but it was all packed up in bins and I just didn't want to deal with it. I used to work at REI and I had SO MUCH nonsense outdoor rec stuff that we never used. Bicycling stuff, too. We decluttered a bunch of bins AND the plastic storage shelves they lived on.
It's just so much easier to do stuff when you're not digging through a bunch of extras trying to figure out what you need.
•
u/Kurt_Kane 1d ago
When my kids were young we used the big tent each summer for at least one adventure but not in the past ten years. I want simple. Toss it in the trunk or back hatch and go. Two bags, a two person tent that could seep three, a fleece bag as an extra for cold nights, and then minor stuff from there like a couple flashlights (one that doubles as a hat clip light), battery bank for phone and flashlight recharging if needed, and once I actually go camping I’ll get a self inflating pad because the old foam pads i had while still good they had a smell and they eat a lot of space and a cheap tarp for under the tent. I also can suv camp with the seats down and slide in a thin piece of plywood to minimize surface changes. But if i don’t make the effort to camp in the next year or two, out it goes. I have a couple kayaks and that also need to get used and bikes. I love to go out for a paddle or ride but havent made the time. I figure that can wait to be decided on until I finish decluttering and my mind isn’t as bogged down with excess to decide on. I think if I felt more “free”, I’d naturally get out and do more. It probably worked out better you didn’t declutter too much of this stuff at first. Sometimes I think its easy to go too far when in the throws of desperate need to get the job done.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
We're in a very similar situation - my husband and I used to go to the BWCA every other year - but it's gotten so crowded and just plain stupid lately - we've got a really nice canoe hanging in our garage plus Duluth packs - a little bit of past life + sunk cost (especially for my husband) but this is gear we can 100% get from an outfitter.
We also have (play boat) kayaks and trail bikes that we used a lot where we used to live but haven't used either in the six years we've been here and I was really hoping that this would be our year! We live on a scenic river and there's a really nice bike trail in town (reasons we moved here) but it just doesn't seem to be high on our list of priorities?
My gut feeling is rent the big stuff and just maintain the essential/emergency kit. But we'll keep the kayaks and the bikes for now - we'll see what happens.
•
u/Kurt_Kane 1d ago
I have all the local natural resources for hiking, biking (paved and nature trails), a river that is dammed at both ends so the flow is slow and perfect for my cheap plastic kayaks, … but if I get rid of my gear then I’m forced to give up the activities because there aren’t rental places. Thankfully I still have a big house so nothing really is eating space I could be using for other things. It’s more of a, get off my rear and go issue. Same issue I’ve had getting motivated enough to continue working towards my ideal organized home. But this weekend at least has been productive and there’s still tomorrow.

Listed a bunch of stuff on Vinted! I'm not going to get rich off it, but it's kind of a fun hobby and satisfying to see stuff move along to someone who will enjoy it
•
u/MarshaMinus100 2d ago
As of this moment my office is completely empty. I decluttered enough to temporarily relocate my office furniture so I could repaint and install new flooring.
I gave away clothes, sewing supplies, crochet supplies and crafting stuff. And there were multiple construction bags of garbage. It has been so liberating to get to this point.
This sub has been a constant source of inspiration.
I did end up selling the Minecraft stuffed animal. Net profits $12 after shipping and ebay fees. Its so ridiculous that I held on to it for 10 years for $12.
Puts the whole journey in perspective - it's literally not worth it to keep all these things. The cost to our mental health and peace is way too high. I truly hope the new owner enjoys their new toy though.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
Yes! In my hierarchy, time is the most precious commodity (we don't know how much we'll get, we don't know what the quality will be, and it gets spent no matter what we do), then energy (also in limited supply but it can be replenished, usually with time/rest) and then space (which is also limited but I'm 100% in control of what/how much I choose to keep). Last (and very much least) is money - I certainly don't have an unlimited supply but I can get more by working more and/or I can stockpile some by spending less. And in most cases, holding onto something I'm not using, don't really like so it isn't "wasted" is illusory value - the money (and time/energy dealing with it) is already spent, you're just adding a bunch of guilt/bad feelings to the overall "cost" of that item.
•
u/itsstillaracecar 2d ago
I started making a log of everything I’ve decluttered (and wish I’d started this months ago)
This week:
Spare bathroom tiles
Washing basket
Clothing items sold x 2
Light fitting
Gloves
Lightbulbs x 3
Boxes x 8
That’s 17 items :)
•
u/AdditionPleasant2625 2d ago
I always make detailed lists of what I donate. I use the list for taxes as I itemize my taxes. I use thrift shop value to figure out the value of what I donate. There are guides online from Salvation Army (and others), but some items may be special and then I locate comparable items online from Ebay and others. It adds up to be a lot preferomey than you think it will be.
•
u/Cccolorado1 2d ago
I was planning on decluttering physical items but I caught some bad virus and feel terrible. But—I have 75,000 emails and it’s been driving me nuts so I sat down and purged a bunch. Delete, unsubscribe, move to junk, etc. If anyone has tips to make this easier, please let me know. I’m sorting by sender and date but it there a magic way?
•
u/wreck_it_ralph_ 2d ago
I use a random date selector - and just do that date only
It’s a bit of a game.
If there is nothing on that day I get a treat - in my head it’s because I’m efficient and already done it 😎•
u/Cccolorado1 2d ago
If I do one date per day, then 365 days to do the whole lot of emails. Thats IF there are no previous matches. I’ll go bananas by then! 🤪
•
•
u/AliciaKnits 2d ago
I sort by year, then by sender. So I'm only working on emails from 2022. That was a tough year for us. But I'm about half way done so far. And then just 23 through 26, and archive emails again. And I'm done. If I finish one year per weekend, that's just 6 weeks for everything. Not too bad and I can take lots of breaks.
•
u/FredKayeCollector2 1d ago
That's how I do it - I'm my parents' POA and they get so much JUNK plus interminable SSA, medicare, medicare supplement notifications.
Even my own account (and I have most shopping stuff going into a junk folder) - leave it for a couple of weeks and it's like WTF!!??
•
u/Birmingham101 2d ago
I'm towards the end of my decluttering phase and I made my last drop off to the thrift store. I also dropped off a stack of CD's for recycling.

I posted about getting to the basement during the sirens going off earlier this week and mentioned I was going to do another pass through of things that could hinder us getting to the basement. Got through half the house and have 7 paper bags full of donations. That makes it sound like I have a lot of crap lying around, but not only did I think “is this worth tripping over or not getting out in time in an emergency” but I also considered if it would be something I would replace if lost in a storm or fire.
One child gave me a couple bags worth of clothes no longer wanted, I filled up 2 bags of yarn that I realistically will not use. Lots of things going that just give us frustration. Getting to the point that I am noticing a huge difference in every room.

I’m glad you posted this… “What did you declutter this week?”, as I am in a decluttering mood and that question now gives me a weekly goal!! Thank you for this! 😃🤗

Recurring post. And tomorrow there will be Mondays Meltdowns - a place to vent frustrations for the stuff you didn't get done over the weekend.

Started my decluttering of my attic bedroom/former office and jewelry studio. Last week I emptied out two dressers that my friend will take, along with two bookcases. Today my daughter in law helped me clean off the tops of YEARS of accumulated stuff. Found my lost glasses and the prescription is still good!
•
u/Watercolor_Roses 2d ago
Successfully stuck to one-in-one-out on a lot of the household purchases I needed to make this week.
I also feel like I've done a pretty good job dialing in how many clothes my kids need for each season, so I was able to go shopping for cold-weather clothes without feeling like I'm going overboard. And I didn't buy anything new for myself! (Mainly because I couldn't find anything I liked, but in the past I would have probably bought something "almost right" and then rarely worn it)

Cleaned out my nightstand! Felt good to get rid of years worth of work journals I won’t read.

Working on the craft room this weekend (and a bit last weekend). Going through scrapbook paper now. Have 13 bins left to go. Have half a bin ready to donate so far. Will be gathering more items before I drop off though, as my preferred craft reuse location is about two hours round-trip, and a friend wants to go with me when I do go. I have seven shelving units to declutter, plus under the window, my desk, and the closet. Then I work on the business office/storage room. These are the last two major rooms to declutter before the whole house is 'done'. In my overall master task list, if I just do one task per day I can be done with everything by Thanksgiving. All goals, done. So that's my ultimate goal I'm shooting for. Then have a nice, easy Christmas. And start the new year fully refreshed in all the things.
•
u/AliciaKnits 2d ago
Unrelatedly, I also 'decluttered' two diagnoses and medication this past week. I'm no longer in hypertension, it fixed itself apparently, so no more of that med (I have been on 4 different meds over the last 3 years). Yay! And also undiagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpef). 4 cardiologists believed I was in heart failure, but fancy hospital doctor says I'm not. I have some sort of very rare oxygen processing disorder (not related to lungs, heart or mitochondria - no common issues other than a congenital heart defect that is apparently nothingburger). So now starting the long journey to figure out exactly what I have.

Drove to the recycling center to get rid of a small crate with some electronics, hard plastic and a lampshade. Before i tossed the lampshade, a guy asked if he can have it. So i gave him. Ones mans trash is the other mans treasure.
Even it was a small crate, it was big for me because these objects don't litter in my space anymore (since two years...) and don't pile up in my shelf.

Milk frother died so I chucked it! And I added an acrylic stand to my donate bag. I think I’m also going to donate this large Disney mug I love but is cracked.
•
u/Malteser23 1d ago
Please don't donate a cracked mug. No one wants that. Use it for pens or a plant. Take a picture and toss it...but don't make the thrift store deal with your garbage.

As I moved my summer clothes into storage and pulled out winter clothes, I purged pieces that either didn't fit right, ones I never liked to wear, or ones that didn't match the style I am now going for. Felt good.

A good day. Pared down more clothes from my closet to give away. Two pairs of Sandals, shorts, t-shirts and a couple of dresses. Added them to some things I put in a give away box earlier in the week. These will go to the charity shop on Tuesday.

I was struggling with my closet. I took two weeks to work on it in the evenings no more than half an hour. I put away summer clothes on hangers on the upper one night. Then I cleaned the bottom of the closet the next night. All this with a show on to help motivate me. I also folded and organized the shelves side - one shelf per evening and I got it done.

Sold my first plant! Also made some decisions about other plants. May not be able to implement them for a while, depending on how the growing season turns out, but have a solid plan now. Entering all the plants I've decluttered over the last 3 months into the table all at once made me realise it was quite a bit of progress - not evident at the time but noticeable collectively.

2 bins, one with clothes and one with random stuff went to the storage unit and two large bags of clothes went to a donation box. All in one trip at the end of a decluttering afternoon. Not gonna lie, I practically did the dusting my hands off gesture when I left! lol!

Over 600 items gone this week. On my way to 1,000. Losing a bit of steam, finding stuff I'd prefer to sell so listing them on marketplace or eBay.
Also digital decluttering a bit. Photos and unfollowing people I barely know.
