Charging $65 for about $2 worth of filament and less than a day's print time seems pretty scummy to me. Taking advantage of one's own community is not a great look. Just saying.

Agree 100000%. I keep seeing it being promoted on social media and it just looks like a waste of money to me IMO.

I imagine the production costs are considerably higher for the muffle mitts since they aren’t made in-house. Community members are making and selling muffle mitts out of koozie material for significantly less, despite those presumably having substantially higher material and labor costs than a 3D-printed version.
