The rich are gonna be the only ones left in the end

Upvotes

As society advances alongside AI and robotics, I see it becoming increasingly common for wealthy people to slowly replace humans with AI for cognitive tasks and with robots for physical labor. It is not quick; they keep it on the down-low, and people, mainly because they think they cannot be replaced—even though they easily could be if an AI does half their job faster and cheaper—claim that it is like the Industrial Revolution and they will find something else to do. Doing what for whose money? If robots are doing physical work and AI does software and thinking, what could be left? Some people think we are going to be artists and be more creative, but how would that earn a living? If even one-third of the workforce gets replaced, that whole third will not have a way to earn money; they will become homeless and slowly die before anything else can change. People are in their own bubble thinking it is not going to be an issue; right now, they want us to have children to contribute to the budget, but what will they do for work? It is already bad enough; imagine not even being able to clean the trash because a robot is cheaper. There is no protection for us; we are doomed as a society and as humanity. We are going to die one by one slowly because if we have a job now, we are not going to think about what will happen to those who do not until we fall into the same bucket.

Conspiracy theory about Native American languages

Upvotes

I study linguistics and recently ran across a bizarre assertion being spread online (facebook, tiktok) that Native American languages were invented by white linguists, and taught to "Siberians" to pretend to be Native American.

It's bizarre as there are dozens of language families in both the Americas with thousands of languages. I can't imagine what army of linguists would be needed to even coordinate conlanging on that scale (as it isn't just creating a language but also creating languages that look related; like French is to Spanish etc). The assertion is laughable on its face but some people seem to believe it. (Clearly people who know nothing about languages).

Not to mention the vastness of a conspiracy to coorinate the "invention" of hundreds of tribes living in unique areas, different customs, as well as language. Contemplating the logistics alone is wild. In short, anyone who tried to think this through logically would see none of it makes sense. But then again, these kind of things are not borne out of logic but some kind of psychological need.

The Flock Camera is a corporate psychological operation.

Upvotes

So, people are taking down Flock cameras left and right. Cities are canceling their Flock contracts, but they’re starting to replace the Flock cameras with Axon cameras. So people are okay with Axon cameras, Axon, who makes tasers, and police body cameras. Axon, who maintains a huge database that any law enforcement agency can access if they have an account, do they know district attorneys can access those databases as well?

I think what’s happening is that it will be put out, eventually, Flock is or was going bankrupt or being forced out, and one way or another, they couldn’t afford to take down their cameras, so they started sewing hate online and got the haters to do the work for them and taking the loss instead of scrapping the cameras themselves. Or, this entire thing is corporate warfare started by Axon, and because they’re bigger, they did this to get the contract and centralize all law enforcement surveillance.

Meta Current AI tools make it possible to falsify reality, cast doubt on everything, and manipulate information—exactly what a malicious AI would do if it spiraled out of control.

Upvotes

The first thing a malicious AI would do is make humans doubt everything—and that is precisely what AI tools enable: deepfakes, AI-generated voices, manipulated images, and AI-created videos indistinguishable from reality. Are we under attack?

Discussion How much history do you think is actually missing?

Upvotes

Like crazy events that happened that people took out of history. And what type of events do you think are hidden?

I think most likely if there is a part of history missing it would be like medieval era or pre that, since it was harder for information and stuff to be shared. What type of history do you think is left out? im really curious I really like finding out or hearing theories about like the old times and secrets and stuff that could’ve happened.

Elon Musk - Mind Transfer

Upvotes

I have a theory that Elon Musk wants to be the first person to transfer his mind into a younger body. At some point in his successful career, he realized that having all the money in the world is useless if you're still mortal. And since physical immortality is biologically impossible for now, he created Neuralink to invest in this type of project.

In fact, the reason he has so many children with women of different ages and backgrounds is that, once the project enters its beta phase, he wants to test different setups and see which one works. When I tweeted this theory at Elon Musk, he blocked me, and my X account was indefinitely suspended.

Politics Polling companies are required to show Trump's approval rating as above 33%

Upvotes
  • Every few days, there's another story saying his approval rating is at a record low, and yet it never seems to go down. It's always at around 33%, and yet it is always going down at a roughly linear rate.
  • This started in February 2026 - Gallup stopped tracking this number, because they were the only major pollster unwilling to compromise on their numbers.
  • He is underwater on every issue, including immigration and crime, which hover around 40%.
  • He's also in the Epstein files, and it's unrealistic to think that did not affect his popularity at all.
  • Polling results are "adjusted" to try to present a "more representative" cross section of the population, but the number of Republicans is decreasing. (This is also true of Democrats, people are shifting to Independent.)

Either the polling companies are required to lie, or they have decided to use models that can never show below 33% approval. It is not credible that an entire third of the population supports him.

Technology Conspiracy theory - Google Maps has been compromised

Upvotes

TLDR: Is it possible that Google Maps and possibly other nav apps have been secretly tampered with in order to cause Americans to use more fuel than they would otherwise for purposes of exacerbating the current oil crisis?

I’m not convinced this is true exactly, but for a few months now my wife and I have speculated about the possibility that Google Maps (and perhaps Waze) has been compromised. Lately (specifically since the Iran War began at the end of Feb. 2026), Google Maps has been giving us odd ways to get to places that, if followed, would cause us to drive a bit further (maybe 5-10% further at most). Oftentimes I’d realize it was giving us a strange route so I’d ignore it and go the route I’d expect it to take me and sure enough, I’d get there faster than had I followed the recommended route (in other words, no traffic jams, road work, etc that might otherwise explain why Maps was sending me a longer route). This has been happening multiple times a week with very inconsistent patterning (not always happening on a specific route, instead it seems totally random, but occurring frequently).

For context, we moved to a larger city several years ago and fully relied on Google Maps to get around. This became a habit that even years later we’re still practicing almost every time we go somewhere. Suffice it to say we have a lot of experience using Google Maps (and later my wife started using Waze while I stuck with Google Maps) in this city. This issue has only been happening in the last few months.

Our playful hypothesis is that a foreign state actor (maybe Iran, perhaps China, possibly Russia?) was able to hack Google Maps and, without anyone noticing, manipulate its route selection algos in order to cause millions of people to drive a little more than they would otherwise, with the goal being to stay subtle enough that no one notices while at the same time causing Americans to use more oil/gas than they would normally for purposes of exacerbating the fuel crisis. Even just a slight increase in driving spread across millions of people would add up to a lot over time.

Lately my wife has noticed the same thing happening while using Waze. It’s happened on multiple devices, at least a couple times a week across the two apps.

We’ve both double checked our settings, software updates, etc. but can’t find any reason why this would be happening. Anybody else been experiencing this?

Politics Epstein’s death

Upvotes

So I’m drunk as I write this, and I’m like 95% certain this is bull shit, and to be clear I am not accusing anyone of anything. But Trump didn’t kill Epstein, right? Apparently he’s in the Epstein files a fuck ton, Trump has been sidestepping all of that for most of his second term. He was president when Epstein was killed in a federal jail cell and Epstein is the one thing that could’ve brought him down since pedophilia is apparently where Americans draw the line at things not being ok. Trump has profited massively from this second term. Who would have benefitted more than him from Epstein “hanging himself” than Trump, who was in the last year of his first term going into the 2020 election? How hard would it have been for the president of the United states to get that done? But like that’s crazy. Like no way that’s true. It’s just the .00001% chance that is in the back of my mind that is skeptical of everything that is making me even entertain that when I know that of all things that could’ve happened, that’s gotta be way down on the list.

Former conspiracy believers for scientific study

Upvotes

Hello r/conspiracytheories

I work at the University of Passau (Germany) on an EU-funded project in which we are researching democratic responses to conspiracy thinking. You can find more information about our research project, TaCT-FoRSED (Tackling Conspiracy Theories by Fostering Resilience and Political (Self-)Efficacy in Democracies), at https://tact-forsed.eu/

Part of the research-oriented work package that I’m leading is an interview study with former conspiracy theorists, in which we’d like to ask about the reasons behind their former belief in conspiracy theories, their life circumstances, and the process of disengagement, among other things, to gain a deeper insight into this field.

For this study, we are seeking participants from a total of eight European countries (Spain, France, the UK, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia and Bulgaria). The interview itself will take approximately 60 minutes (online) and will, of course, be anonymized. If this sounds interesting to you, please feel free to contact me here. Then I can give you further information.

Best regards!

Hidden fascism: all AI labs are working for the US government

Upvotes

I think the US government believes AI to be the ultimate tool for Global surveillance. They don't care about domestic surveillance , as much as they do Global surveillance. They want to know what everyone and every country on this planet is saying about America. So they can ensure that the whole world votes for "our allies" into office, or else. And that or else are untimely deaths, and if worse comes to worst, bombs. Sanctions. Blocking their trade.

They want to identify who is their enemy. They're already are doing that. But they believe AI will give them such an advantage in this area. That they cannot afford to let any other country on this planet build out the computer technology needed to run these new massive AI models that are going to come down the pipe. That they probably already have in hiding.

Every last AI lab from anthropic to Google must be In the service of the US government at this point. With all this moralizing about how they want to do it for the good of humanity. We know what that means. It means America spreads more freedom. That's been their mantra all along. They take their tyranny and their abuse and their hegemony and they call it Liberation and freedom. When really they just want to import their dollar bills, and then inflate them away to keep you working and climbing that ladder to consumerist heaven for the rest of your life.

I know this is just a coincidence, but doesn’t it look a familiar face of those familiar with spooky stuff ?

Michael A. Aquino Jr. (October 16, 1946 – September 1, 2019) was an American political scientist, military officer and Satanist. He was the founder and high priest of the Temple of Set. Aquino was also a specialist in psychological warfare for military intelligence and an officer in the U.S. Army.
Concurrent with the United States Satanic panic,[22][4] in November 1986, the San Francisco Police began investigating allegations of sexual abuse in connection with the Army's Child Development Center at the Presidio of San Francisco. A girl came forward in August 1987 and identified Aquino as the culprit. At least 58 out of 100 children who had attended the daycare center showed physical and mental signs of sexual abuse, leading to a lawsuit by the parents for $60 million in damages.[8][9][14] An investigation against Aquino was launched, but it was closed after insufficient evidence was found.[23][14][4]The investigation led to Aquino becoming a frequent target of conspiracy theories.[12]
Writer and publisher Mitch Horowitz said that investigators found that in the weeks of the claimed incident the Aquinos were not residing in San Francisco but instead in Washington, D.C., where Aquino was enrolled in a graduate public administration program under the auspices of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. Although no charges were filed, a continuation board ended Aquino's full-time Active Guard Reserve contract in 1990; while Aquino said that he continued to serve as a decorated (by virtue of his Meritorious Service Medal) part-time space activities officer until his required superannuation under the U.S. Army's up-or-out statutes in 1994, this decision essentially forestalled any subsequent promotion or advancement of his military career. "The Aquinos", Horowitz wrote, "unsuccessfully attempted legal action against the girl's chaplain father and an Army psychiatrist who stoked the false claims. But the couple faced the barrier of gravitating between civilian and military law". Horowitz further wrote that Aquino and wife settled legal actions against two accusatory books out of court.[24]
Aquino sued as the result of two books that implied he was guilty in the case: Painted Black) by Carl Raschke and The New Satanists by Linda Blood. Blood was a former member of the Temple of Set; Aquino alleged the book defamed him and the Temple of Set.[17][25] The case was settled out of court.[17]

Does anyone remember Asteroid DA14?

Upvotes

It came super close to earth in 2013. I remember it was a pretty big story and I SWEAR they were saying that it was going to come back, possibly even closer to earth. I even set a Google alert for DA14 so I could stay in the loop (I still have the alert) but nothings really come up. But I was concerned enough to create the alert and I specifically remember thinking to myself “oh man, it looks like it’ll be back when I’m 36. That’s too young to die”. So I’m guessing they said it would return in 2027?

Now, when I google DA14 there’s no information about this asteroid returning. Nada. Just the articles about it coming close in 2013. I’m turning 36 next year and I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m wondering if anyone else remembers this happening in 2013 and if they remember that it’s supposed to be returning, or if I just imagined it

Discussion I think the IsThisAI subreddit is being used to learn about and improve faults in AI generated images

Upvotes

Title. AI images are getting really, really good. What better way to keep improving them than to train llms to fix the most commonly pointed out errors in a human volunteer run data aggregation source?

No proof, just a thought

It would be obvious to see hundreds of 'that text is garbled' comments and then take initiatibe to work on refining text in future gens of image generators

Welcome To Capitalism!!! Climate Change is desired by the powers that be

Upvotes

The big companies, and as a result their subsidiaries, want climate change. It makes the climate unpredictable, and as a result it becomes more and more difficult to plan and schedule a garden to grow produce in.

Eventually only large climate controlled facilities are capable of growing food. This may also play in lab-grown meat.

The feed we give our livestock is stuff that is grown on farms. Eventually, once ecosystems collapse, the only source of food will be large industrial facilities (as it is already, sure. But currently you could still in theory get some cows and chickens and raise them on grassland by yourself, growing your own vegetables and fruits).

We are still somewhat capable of "opting out" of society by virtue of the fact that we can still, with the right knowledge and resources, provide for ourselves. It makes sense that "Big Business" wants to take that away from us.

If you want to live, you pay the Epstein-class for that privilege. And let's be honest, that's what they see "being alive" as. A privilege. Not a right.

Flat Earther Foolishness Probably already exists. I present to you: Flat earth psyop theory

Upvotes

The Flat earth conspiracy theory is obviously fake. no way people genuinely believe in that. so my theory says that the flat earthers (or at least the original theorists causing resurgence of the theory) intentionally made that theory so all conspiracy theories gets grouped with flat earth.
