im bored most of the time looking for someone i connect with closely tbh and talk to alot, my friends have other friends and im not really like a main option but were close i think, idk anyways so im on here looking for some people to connect with. im 19 and from the US. im unemployed (rn😭) and chronically online so???? im central time, i love video games, movies/shows, i LOVE MUSIC like almost every genre (pls dont ask me about metal but i love rockkkkk) i also love marvel. I was seeing a guy for a while, and we both ended up getting more attached than I think either of us expected.
Things between us were actually pretty good, but we had very different communication styles. Sometimes I would message him and he wouldn’t respond for hours even though I could see him coming online. I know being online doesn’t mean someone owes me an immediate response, but because of some past experiences, it started making me feel ignored and anxious.
We talked about it at one point. I told him how I was feeling, he apologized and reassured me that he enjoyed talking to me. He also admitted that he was getting attached to me too.
At one point I pulled away because I was overwhelmed, and he reached out asking if I was okay. He told me that me distancing myself had hurt him and that he wanted to see me again so we could talk things through. We eventually made up, and things went back to normal for a while.
But the same communication issue happened again, I got overwhelmed again, and eventually we stopped talking. It’s been about a week.
Yesterday I decided to message him because I didn’t like the idea of things just ending without saying anything. I basically told him that despite everything, I’d had fun getting to know him.
He responded positively, he said:
“I hope that someday in the future we’ll meet again, even if it’s just to say hello.”
And for some reason that sentence hit me much harder than I expected.

Go ahead and ask whatever you want, it's a lot easier to talk about myself if I'm asked something, but obviously you don't have to.

I'm a gamer nerd for a lot of different games, and some card games like yugioh (my "I'll never talk about this cuz no one cares" topic). In terms of recent games, Overwatch has been towards the top (usually with my cousin), Soulsborne and Fallout games, and then the occasional random one that pops into my mind. I could occasionally stream a game you're interested in maybe, otherwise I'm typically awkward and avoidant of calls. I do enjoy learning about people and their interests though, so yap as much as you'd like.

I'm a fan of the ocean, though I'm not sure if I'd like to live close to it really, as I've been to a fair few of the nearby coastal towns and there are definitely pros and cons. I do love sea creatures though, especially urchins, crabs, and octopi. I used to wanna write, but it never really became anything and now it's just a distant "y'know that would be kinda cool" thing that I can hope I'll do again. In terms of the writing aspirations, I was thinking about horror or some sort of relatively deep/thoughtful story, but I doubt I'm capable of that. I feel as though I'd have to actual start to figure it out.

I'm 49, I would say I'm kind of a loner, wear a lot of black, like extreme metal, playing my drums, noodling with electronics. Tonight's entertainment is to listen to Anaal Nathrakh, watch House of the Dragon, and play with my tuxedo cat. I like that Aesthetic Perfection song "Summer Goth" because that's so me, wearing all black and obsessing on dark things all the time, but also like to be in the sunshine, workout, drive my car around the mountains, and generally dopamine maxx. I've had a lot of struggles with mental health and money and kinda in a reclusive space for a while, but moving back up that mountain.

Hello everybody! I’m 32 years old, male and located in Europe. I moved here almost a decade ago. It’s been quite difficult to make friends and especially keep them. The older I have gotten, the harder it has been to build new friendships. I have been a huge fan of Formula 1 since I was 10, I’m into gaming, though I don’t play variety of games, right now it is League of Legends, Fifa, Call of Duty and Overwatch occasionally. I love campaign games, (the witcher, god of war, Detroit:become human, you name it) though I don’t have that much time to play them. I also love watching true crime documentaries. Recently, I have started going back to watching movies and shows and I have seen really interesting ones. I am watching the Pitt, House of the Dragons and finished watching the Office and Daredevil recently! I used to have motivation to do my other hobbies, such as reading and photography but I have lost all of it, trying to gain it back. I mostly listen to rock music, however I listen to whatever is good for my soul. My fav artists are Three Days Grace, Ghost, Bring me the Horizon and Halestorm. I actually don’t want to give away everything here so we have something to talk about. I’m on my summer vacation right now and have got plenty of time to kill.
