I also have a calico who loves bongos and mischief! She whacks me with her tail if I stop the butt pats. Then she'll turn around and bite at me. At first I took it that that meant she was overstimulated and wanted me to stop but eventually I figured out it meant she wanted to mix it with playing by throwing in some jabs for me to dodge. I could tell she was playing and not just annoyed because she actually starts purring louder when she gets to indulge in some of her own violence.

OMG mine does this EXACT behavior as well! Maybe it’s a calico thing? This is my first time owning a calico as I mainly grew up with tabby’s, a Siamese, and a black cat and all of them never enjoyed it as much as she does! Also she is absolutely adorable!!

I also have bipolar(depressive). I’m in university for psychology and know that certain terms can be demeaning and I feel you are completely valid in feeling that way. With that being said, I don’t know your struggles and you don’t know mine. I use humor as a coping mechanism and the cat in the video is my emotional support animal. I saw an article a couple years ago in one of my classes about how pets can pick up on behaviors and mental/physical illness’s their parents have. This really resonated with me as my cat is definitely on the same page I am most of the time. If you don’t find it funny, you could have dm’d me or just downvoting instead of trying to make me feel bad about something that I also struggle with. Even if that wasn’t your intention, the internet is a World Wide Web, and not everyone will think, do, or use words in ways that are always “correct”, for lack of a better term. I hope that this helps you understand where I am coming from and I’m sorry to hear that you are also struggling with this disorder.
