I don’t disagree agree with him, but one thing on these types of videos is the camera angles are different at various stadiums so sometimes the comparisons aren’t always accurate.

However looking at where the ball is visible vs Milwaukee in this clip against the 2024 ones in Reynolds clip it really highlights it

The hit by Pena was a 97 mph FB. The 2B by Betts was a 96 mph FB. The pitches to Soto and judge were 99 and 100 respectively.

Right but him being hunched/coiled up more is causing him to work more side to side rather than downhill. When he is more upright he works downhill which crewtes more whip and velocity. It's not hard to understand the impact of the mechanics on velocity.

He’s not arguing that this mechanical change is the reason his velocity fell off a cliff, he’s saying batters can hit the pitches because they see the ball when he brings it behind his back. And maybe they can! But they can also see it better because it’s 2-4 MPH slower than it used to be.
