Hey everyone, my partner and I used to go to a gym which had a sauna and steam room as part of it. We really enjoyed going as part of our routine and spending time together.

Now that we've moved to Birmingham it seems quite hard to find a gym with mixed spa facilities (rather than gender segregated). Does anyone here know of a mixed gym/spa?

For context, I live in King's Heath and would preferably like to be able to get there by public transport. Thank you for any suggestions!

I’m going to be in Birmingham for a couple of days and will be working remotely while I’m there. I’m staying in the city centre, so ideally looking for somewhere within walking distance.

I’m looking for somewhere quiet and comfortable where I can work for around 4–5 hours, with reliable Wi-Fi and somewhere I can take a few work calls/meetings without disturbing others.

Hi can anyone recommend the most accurate app to track the bus, specially x2 bus.

Different websites have different times it’s annoying, and they don’t even arrive on time.

Also how long of a buffer do you guys have when arriving to your bus stop, do you arrive 5 mins before the bus arrives, a minute before, just on time etc etc.

Moved to Birmingham about a month ago and I'm finding the whole making-new-friends thing a bit harder than expected 😂

I'm wondering how people actually go about meeting people here organically. I'm into things like gaming, going out/clubbing, bars, food, cars, movies etc, so ideally I'd like to meet people through doing those sorts of things rather than just randomly approaching people and hoping for the best 😂

Are there any good places, groups, events, clubs, societies or regular meetups around Birmingham where people are actually open to meeting new people?

Also interested to hear how other people who moved here without knowing many people went about building a social circle. Doesn't necessarily have to be specifically gaming or nightlife related, I'm pretty open to trying new things.

Any advice from people who have been in the same situation would be appreciated!

Hi everyone, could you please recommend me any swimming pool in south birmingham that has cubicle shower facilities?

We’ve tried Cocks Moor Leisure Center but there’s only communal shower? The little one’s skin is very sensitive and needs to properly shower after swimming.

We also tried UoB sports and fitness but the pool’s temperature tends to be too cold for the little one.
