Justy shelf ... Not a whole lot to say ....

My camera is pretty shitty but bear with me.

A couple of these are children's books I read when I was a kid, which wasn't that far since I'm 18😭

Half of these are in Arabic. Can't translate all of them but:

Colourful books to Vicious/vengeful's right: Sherlock Holmes

The group of books on Harry Potter's right: Dostoevsky

The cream books that look like they're older than me (because they are): a group of classics and novels like Albert Camus, Bronte sisters, Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, Nietzsche. Also Arabic classics like Jibran Khaleel Jibran and Najeeb Mahfoudh.

Far right next to the old books: Arabic poetry like Nizar Qabbani and Mahmoud Darwish.

Books next to the dictionary: a bunch of Islamic philosophy books my uncle is trying to convince me to read🤷🏻‍♀️

I change how I organize my mangas once every season and this time I decided to divide them by setting of the story!

The mangas that were not part of this organization were the ones that have a special shelf all for them

Put up these shelves in spring this year. I am thoroughly looking forward to autumn/winter so that I can take full advantage of this set up and read while sitting under the duvet!

Top shelf is primarily my partner’s collection and the rest are mine, except for a small handful of his which are dotted around. Already need more space for the books I have brought home since spring…

Need more shelves soon. I want to have shelves all along the top of my ceiling around my entire apartment.

My favorite authors are George R.R Martin and Tolkien, if you can’t tell!😆 I have other books, they’re just not set up.

Fantastic books by fantastic friends! The first book is here as a technicality, as K-9 is all of our friend! Then we have Tony McMillen , the most creative person I know, from music to comics to podcast, he's always doing something different! Then there's Delgado Kevin , Buffalo's last hope with tuff stuff! If you need a variant cover, he's your man! He's done comers for everything from TMNT to Dick friggin Tracy! Then we have Puma Blues by Michael Zulli...I didn't know him personally, but I am online friends with his wife Iris Zulli ...in fact, this was her personal copy! Then we have Eric Orchard , a comic artist -fantasy artist, someone is definitely put in the back matter of Papa Balloon and Cactus down the road! Same goes for David Dave Chisholm , he always does something different from his last gig (see "is Ted ok?" In comic shops NOW)

Speaking of Papa Balloon and Cactus, in the new issue (still in production) is Joel Meadows who along with Andy Bennett, have been telling alternate world versions of Sherlock Holmes! He's also one heck of a comics journalist! If you can't find "masters of comics," track down super groovy magazine Tripwire, or one of the several projects they've done!

Then we have Tess Fowler Gutierrez , who has written and drawn the best graphic novel of 2026! Super talented, and a very grim epic about emerging from years of darkness and abuse!

Last we have a whole shelf of Jeff Manley, the funniest voice in the new generation of comic books!

There we have it boisen berries! If you don't see your work here, never fear, I plan on giving more shout-outs in the future 😁

Finally got the big bookcase set up again in the new house after the agonizing process of packing all our books and moving with them. There’s still hundreds of books in boxes but the vast majority of those are kids books or reference books and the like. It’s hard for me to not just put books on any empty shelf we have, but for my wife’s sake I’ll stick to a few designated areas. She knows who she married so the occasional small stack will still pop up but at 40yo I am who I am.

I have several other shelves around the room and in other rooms, but these were the 3 my father built for me.

I’m autistic and I also have OCD, which you can probably tell from the way my books are displayed, I get very obsessed with the littlest of things and this took me a couple of hours till I was satisfied with how it looked.

I am just curious if there was any better ways to display them, bearing in mind I would like them to be in size order.

Only a week into the new semester and already getting my butt kicked 😞

I just bought this new bookshelf and put all my manga on it, but it seems really empty still. I need some recommendations for things I can put on it. manga, figures, etc. I have a different shelf for actual books, this one’s for manga and stuff. I just want it to look really cool, any recommendation is great. I’ve liked, Vinland saga, vagabond, chainsaw man, Naruto, demon slayer, dragon ball, I don’t really have any specifications honestly.

Back in April, I had only about 10 books, a supermajority of them were ASOIAF books. In May I decided to get into reading and started researching what’s out there. The rabbit hole was deep, and 4 months later, this is what my collection looks like. I finally reached a point where I forced myself to stop and set rules for my habits. 5 days into September, so far so good. Just wanted to share my current bookshelf.

This is my home library. It’s my favorite place.

My husband and I preserve books that are banned, challenged or removed from other libraries.

I love drinking my morning coffee in this room.
