Question All of Banner Saga on Switch has never been on sale for about 4 years now. Why?

I used to think that too, and maybe it was true for a while, but I do know that's not the case anymore.

I've been getting bargains ever since I used price tracker websites. Those screenshots are from dekudeals.

Even weirder is how in the screenshot, it shows Banner Saga WAS regularly on sale for 5 dollars for a couple of years and they just stopped out of nowhere.

I've never seen it go on sale for Playstation either, and still waiting for 3 to work on the steam deck.

Pretty clearly this has been abandoned by the publisher - I'm guessing Stoic doesn't even have access to the eshop backend to change this as not discounting it is kind of crazy.

This got me curious and I did some digging. It looks like the original publisher was called Versus Evil and the company shut down in 2023. The timeline certainly matches. I do feel like there's more to the story though. The currently listed publisher is Stoic in the Nintendo eShop as well as the Steam Store.

I'm sure there is - guessing qujite a bit of bad blood, is strange tjis wasn't further developed or managed well - such a great world
