Why do new natoks and movies look so cheap now?

Took me a while to figure out what was bugging me. It's the frame rate. Everything is shot at 30 or 60fps now instead of 24. That's why it looks like a wedding video or a live news broadcast instead of a film. There's an actual name for it, the soap opera effect. Too smooth, too sharp, no motion blur. My brain just refuses to believe it's a story.

The other thing is the dubbing. Nobody records audio on set anymore, they just dub it in a studio later. Yes it's clean. It's also lifeless. When you record on location the voice picks up the room, the distance, the echo, the noise outside. Dubbed audio has none of that, it's the same flat studio voice whether the guy is standing next to you or shouting from across a field. It sits on top of the scene instead of in it. India moved to sync sound ages ago and you can hear the difference instantly.

Honestly I think a lot of this is just nobody getting trained properly. Camera gear is cheap now so anyone can buy a setup and start shooting, but knowing which frame rate to use or why sync sound matters is something you learn from someone who actually knows. Feels like a lot of productions are hiring whoever owns a camera and calling it a day. Not blaming individuals, they're doing what they were taught, which is nothing.

Anyway. Anyone got recent natoks or films that got this right? Would love to watch something that doesn't feel like this.

কারন এখনকার ডিরেক্টর, স্ক্রিপ্ট, কলাকুশলী সবই নিম্ন মানের, এদের সিনেমা arri alexa দিয়ে 24fps এ shoot করলেও ওই যা তাই হবে।
