সরকারি কর্মচারীদের বেতন ১০০% থেকে ১৪২% পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হচ্ছে। কিন্তু এই সিদ্ধান্ত সাধারণ খেটে খাওয়া ও বেসরকারি চাকরিজীবী মানুষের জীবনে কতটা ভয়ানক প্রভাব ফেলবে, তা কি ভেবে দেখা হয়েছে?

এর ফলে সাধারণ মানুষের কী কী ক্ষতি হবে?

• ভয়াবহ মুদ্রাস্ফীতি: বাজারে যখন প্রচুর সরকারি টাকা একবারে প্রবেশ করবে, তখন নিত্যপণ্যের দাম আকাশ ছোঁবে। চাল, ডাল, তেল থেকে শুরু করে বাসা ভাড়া—সবকিছুর দাম একলাফে বেড়ে যাবে।
• ক্রয়ক্ষমতা ধ্বংস: সরকারি কর্মকর্তা-কর্মচারীদের বেতন ১৪২% বাড়লেও দেশের সিংহভাগ বেসরকারি চাকরিজীবীর বেতন বাড়ে মাত্র ৮-১০%। এর মানে দাঁড়ায়, বাজারদর বাড়বে ১৪২% স্কেলে, আর সাধারণ মানুষের আয় পড়ে থাকবে আগের জায়গায়!
• সীমাহীন বৈষম্য: বাজার তো আর সরকারি বা বেসরকারি চাকরিজীবী চেনে না। দোকানদার চালের কেজি ১০০ টাকা চাইলে সরকারি কর্মীর জন্য তা সামান্য, কিন্তু বেসরকারি চাকরিজীবী বা দিনমজুরের জন্য তা রক্ত জল করা আয়ের ওপর বড় আঘাত।

শাসকগোষ্ঠী বদলায়, কিন্তু সাধারণ মানুষের ভাগ্য বদলায় না! আগে এক দল সাধারণ মানুষকে জিম্মি করে রক্ত চুষে খেয়েছে, আর এখন আরেক দল এসে একই পথে হাঁটছে। সবাই শুধু নিজেদের আখের গোছাতে ব্যস্ত, আর চড়া মূল্য দিতে হচ্ছে সাধারণ জনগণকে।

যেখানে সরকারের উচিত ছিল সর্বস্তরের মানুষের জন্য বাজার সিন্ডিকেট দমন করা এবং বেসরকারি খাতের বেতন বৈষম্য দূর করা, সেখানে তারা সরকারি খাতকে তোষণ করে মুদ্রাস্ফীতির আগুনে সাধারণ মানুষকে ঠেলে দিচ্ছে। ৮-১০% বেতন বৃদ্ধিতে এই আকাশছোঁয়া বাজারে পরিবার নিয়ে বেঁচে থাকা এখন একেবারে অসম্ভব!

প্রশ্ন একটাই—সাধারণ জনগণ কি শুধুই কর (Tax) দিয়ে যাবে, আর বিনিময়ে শুধু পিষে যাবে?

The salary of govt employees has stayed the same since 2015. Had the previous govt raised the salary bit by bit every 3-4 years, then this significant salary increase wouldn't have happened. In contrast to that, the inflation rate has been increasing rapidly despite govt employee salaries remaining the same in the last 11 years. I mean, you have to crack a really competitive exam to get these jobs and in the end your starting salary remains 38k overall if you joined as a 9th grade officer. And lower if you joined below that. It's not sufficient at all and it also leaves no choices for the govt employees but deal in bribes. It's true that inflation will skyrocket after this but it had to happen at some point. And most likely, this salary structure would remain the same for the next 10-15 years

Not true. Basic increment was given every year. While a review was required, it did not need to go 100% for all the grades, specially not this rapidly. Maybe a yearly 15-20% for 5 years could be a more realistic solution. Something the private sector could slowly catch up.

Govt employees got increment every year, whereas theres no increment policy at all without some good private companies. This is not fair.

I don't think it would create any problem. As most of the govt employees rely heavily on bribes. And this increment is nothing compared to the amount of bribe they collects. Plus I think in order to stop curroption they need to be paid fairly which wasn't the case before.

Bruh even govt job employees can't afford anything. Do you think every govt job employee is rich? I do understand many people take bribe n shi but people with lower job title like my father, we can't afford shit in this economy. What about how we are also suffering from the inflation n shitty economy?
